DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0019]. The present invention relates to a boot for motorcycling, in particular for motocross, which with reference to the appended drawings has been globally denoted by reference numeral 1.
[0020] . In general, as can be seen in Figures 1 and 2, a boot for motorcycling and in particular for motocross, comprises a sole 5 and an upper 2 which is sewn to the sole and extends as far as below the knee. Advantageously, the upper is provided with at least one protective plate, situated in the frontal area, as a shin guard.
[0021] . The upper 2 is partially open so as to define a first edge 3 and a second edge 4 separable from each other for easy fitting of the foot.
[0022] . Preferably, the two edges 3 and 4 are separable from each other all along the height of the boot, from the area of the tibia to the foot area.
[0023] . As may be observed in Figure 1 the boot 1 is provided with a plurality of closure belts 10,10' and 10" distributed along the extension in height of the boot and suitable to hold the two edges 3 and 4 of the upper 2 close to each other when closed.
[0024] . Each closure belt 10, 10' e 10" is attached to the first edge 3 at a first end portion 11 and may be overlapped with the second edge 120 at a second end portion 12.
[0025] . Preferably, as shown in the appended drawings, the first edge 3 (to which the closure belts are attached) can overlap the second edge 120 at least partially when closed.
[0026] . The boot 1 comprises at least one fastening device 20 which is attached to the second edge 4 and detachably fastens the respective belt 10 at the aforesaid second end portion 12 to keep the two edges 3 and 4 of the upper 2 close to each other when closed and to adjust the length of said belt by tightening it more or less.
[ 0027 ] . According to the invention, the boot 1 comprises a hollow body 30 which is attached to the upper 2 near the fastening device 20 and which houses within it at least partially the second end portion 12 of the belt 10 projecting from the fastening device 20, when such closure belt 10 is engaged in blocking by said fastening device.
[ 0028 ] . Thanks to the present invention when the closure belt 10 is engaged with the respective fastening device 20, its second end portion 12 (i.e. the free portion) can be housed and protected inside the hollow body 30, thereby preventing it from becoming a possible source of entanglement and from being exposed and free to move and therefore vibrating.
[ 0029] . Advantageously, as may be observed in particular i Figures 1 and 2, the hollow body 30 has a box-like structure provided with an entrance aperture 31 facing the fastening device 20. More in detail, the entrance aperture 31 faces the part of the device from which the free end 12 of the belt engaged in the fastening device 20 protrudes.
[0030] . Preferably, the hollow body 30 is shaped so as to correspond to the area of the upper it is attached to, as may be seen in Figure 1, so as to reduce the outer encumbrance as much as possible.
[0031] . Advantageously, the hollow body 30 has an inner section narrowing from its entrance aperture 31 towards the bottom 32. This way, thanks to the wider sectioned aperture, the free end 12 of the belt is guided to enter inside the hollow body 30. Once inside, the end portion is progressively thrust towards the upper underlying the hollow body 30 guided by said hollow body 30.
[0032] . According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the closure belt 10 is anchored to the first edge 3 by an attachment element 40 able to engage itself in blocking all along the first end portion 11 so as to adjust the length of the closure belt 10 stretching towards the hollow body 30.
[0033] . As shown in the Figures 4 and 5, the attachment element 40 may in turn be attached to a belt or appendage 42 attached to the first edge 3. Alternatively, the attachment element 40 may be directly attached to the first edge 3 of the upper 2.
[0034] . The attachment element 40 may permit continuous adjustment or a stepped adjustment of the length of the closure belt 10.
[0035] . Preferably, in the case of stepped adjustment, as shown in detail in Figures 4 and 5, the first end portion 11 has a first toothed surface 13 and the attachment element 40 comprises one or more abutment teeth 41 suitable to engage in blocking the first toothed surface 13.
[0036] . Thanks to the presence of the adjustable attachment element 40 the length of the belt 10 projecting towards the hollow element can be suitably adjusted so that the belt is the right length for the closure requirements of the edges and is not too short;
[0037] . Moreover, the presence of the adjustable attachment element 40 allows that, when the belt is in the final position of desired tightness (i.e. when the predefined extension of the belt projecting from the fastening device 20 has been reached) , the second portion 12 can be completely housed inside the hollow body 30. The adjustment of the point of attachment of the belt prevents the second portion 12 from reaching the end position colliding with the hollow body, obstructing the tightening movement of the belt and preventing the entire belt from extending inside the housing during the movement of translation in relation to the fastening device 20. [0038]. Preferably, the attachment element 40 is rotationally connected to the first edge 3 of the upper 2 so as to enable the orientation of the closure belt 10 to be adjusted .
[0039]. More in detail, the attachment element 40 is rotationally inserted in a base 43 which defines a circular engagement seat (not shown in the appended drawings) .
[0040]. Preferably, each closure belt 10, 10', 10", has its own hollow housing body 30.Alternative embodiments may however be foreseen in which not all the belts are equipped with a hollow housing body.
[0041] . Even the presence of the adjustable attachment element 40 is optional, even though preferred. Embodiments may be envisaged wherein only some closure belts are provided with such adjustable attachment element, as shown in the appended drawings, where the closure belt 10" positioned in the foot area is not provided with such adjustable attachment element.
[0042] . According to the preferred embodiment illustrated in the appended drawings, the fastening device 20 is of the ratchet type and the second end portion 12 comprises a toothed surface 14 suitable to engage in blocking in such fastening device 20. As already mentioned, such fastening device 20 is responsible for fastening the belt 10, 10', 10" to the second edge 4, at the same time adjusting the tightness (i.e. the length of the section of belt which extends from the point of attachment on the first edge 3 to the fastening device 20 (i.e. to the point of attachment on the second edge' 4) .
[0043] . In particular, the aforesaid ratchet fastening device 20 comprises:
[0044] . - a base 21 permanently attached to the upper, at the second edge 4;
[0045] . - an operating lever 22, pivotally connected to the base 21 and provided with at least one tooth 23 suitable to engage in blocking the second end portion 12 at the second toothed surface 14 so as to transform the pivoting movement of the lever 22 into a translatory movement of the second end portion 12 in relation to the base 21;
[0046]. ' - a unidirectional stop element 24, pivotally connected to the base 21 and suitable to prevent a translatory movement of the second end portion 12 opposite to that imposed by the operating lever 22.
[0047] . The boot for motorcycling, in particular for motocross, according to the invention, makes it possible to obtain numerous advantages, some of which already highlighted above.
[0048] . The boot 1 according to the present invention is to provide a boot for motorcycling, in particular for motocross, which although provided with closure belts does not present- when the belts are closed- outwardly exposed projecting appendages. The boot does not therefore present appendages of the belts which might constitute a source of entanglement during use or generate annoying vibrations.
[0049]. The boot 1 according to the present invention is not complicated to use but permits, in particular, simple and easy adjustment of the closure belts.
[0050] . The boot 1 according to the present invention is, moreover, easy and economical to produce.
[0051] . The invention thus conceived thereby achieves the intended objectives.
[0052] . Obviously, it may assume, in its practical embodiments, forms and configurations different from those illustrated above while remaining within the present sphere of protection.
[0053] . Moreover, all the parts may be replaced by technically equivalent parts and the dimensions, forms and materials used may be varied as needed.
