Abstract

Disclosed is a method, a device and a system for remote power supply in a coaxial network, which belong to the field of communication technology, and are designed to solve the problem in the prior art that when a local power supply source in a user's home is cut off, the reliability of realization of services of a terminal device in the coaxial network decreases, thus preventing access to the voice service and emergency service among other important services. The method for remote power supply in a coaxial network comprises: obtaining a remote power supply voltage coupled to the coaxial network, the remote power supply voltage being generated by a remotely located headend device and coupled to the coaxial network; and supplying power using the remote power supply voltage as a power supply source.
