Abstract

The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling a pulse-controlled inverter (2) which is used for controlling an electrical machine (1). In this case, a sensor unit (4) captures a variable which characterizes the speed (n) of the electrical machin (1), and transmits said variable to a controller (3). The controller (3) then sets a clock frequency (fclock) for a pulse-width-modulated control signal (SPWM) for the pulse-controlled inverter (2) on the basis of said variable.
