Abstract

The present invention relates to a poly(ethyleneterephthalate) drawn fiber having a fineness equal to or greater than about 2,000 deniers and having superior stability and uniform properties, a tire-cord, and a method of manufacturing the poly(ethyleneterephthalate) drawn fiber and the tire-cord. The poly(ethyleneterephthalate) drawn fiber contains about 90 mol% or more of poly(ethyleneterephthalate), a degree of crystallinity of about 40% to about 50%, a noncrystalline orientation coefficient of about 0.01 to about 0.2, a mono-filament fineness of about 2.5 deniers to about 4.0 deniers, a coefficient of variation (C.V.) of about 8.0% or less in sectional area, and a total fineness of about 2,000 deniers to about 4,000 deniers.
