Abstract

The present invention relates to a display device (1) comprising a panel (3), a cover (4) that covers the rear surface of the panel (3) and a body (2) that has a frame- shaped flange (5) which is located on the cover (4) and that extends from the cover (4) towards the panel (3) so that there remains a distance therebetween, and at least one support member (6) that is to be seated on a floor and hence provides the body (2) to be carried.

Description

A DISPLAY DEVICE COMPRISING A SUPPORT
The present invention relates to a display device comprising a support.
The supports that provide display devices to remain balanced perpendicularly are fixed to the body and/or the rear wall of the display device by using intermediate components.
In the state of the art Chinese Utility Model Document No. CN201170422, a display device is described that comprises a support having an intermediate member and a leg placed in this intermediate member.
In the state of the art European Patent Application No. EP1798967, a display device is described that comprises a support fixed so as to remain between the panel and the rear cover.
In the state of the art Japanese Patent Application No. JP2008509521, a display device is described that comprises an intermediate component which is mounted onto the support and which is fixed to the panel and the rear wall by being inserted through a recess on the rear wall.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a display device, the assembly cost and time of which are reduced.
The display device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a retainer produced as integrated to the rear cover. On the retainer, a housing is disposed wherein the support member, carrying the display device body, is at least partially seated. The housing opens to the flange located at the lower edge of the rear cover. The body is seated onto the support member so that the support member enters into the housing, and thus the support member is provided to be fixed to the body easily and firmly.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the support member comprises a foot which extends in the horizontal direction and stands on the floor and a leg which extends upwards from the foot in the vertical direction and carries the body.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the leg comprises an insert which is seated into the housing and which is almost at the same size as the housing. In a derivative of this embodiment, the insert is snap-fittingly placed into the housing.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the insert is connected to the leg by means of a connector. The connector is wider than the insert and when the insert is placed into the housing, the connector bears against the sides of the housing and provides the body to be supported.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the housing is formed so as to completely surround the insert pipe. Thus, the insert pipe is provided to be mounted to the body so as to provide a safe and secured support.
In an embodiment of the present invention, an extension is located on the leg end extending into the housing, on the insert. The extension is preferably plate-shaped and provides the support member to be locked to the body by being inserted through an opening located at the end of the housing.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the first hole located on the extension is aligned with the second hole located on the cover. In this embodiment, after the support member is disposed into the retainer on the cover, the support member is provided to be fixed to the body by placing a fixing means into the aligned first hole and second hole.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the fixing means extends up to the bracket disposed between the panel and the cover and is also mounted onto the bracket and thus, the fixing efficiency is improved.
The display device and the foot realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention are illustrated in the attached figures, where:

The display device (1) comprises a body (2) having
  • a panel (3),
  • a cover (4) covering the rear surface of the panel (3) and
  • a frame-shaped flange (5) which is located on the cover (4) and which extends from the cover (4) towards the panel (3) so that there remains a distance therebetween, and
at least one support member (6) which is seated on a floor and hence provides the body (2) to be carried.
The display device (1) of the present invention, furthermore, comprises a retainer (7) that has a housing (8) which opens to the lower surface of the flange (5) and wherein the support member (6) is partially seated, and that is integrated with the cover (4) and completely surrounds the support member (6). By means of the retainer (7) integrated with the cover (4), the support member (6) is provided to be easily mounted to the cover (4) without the need of using an adapter component. Thus, the assembly and production costs are minimized.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the support member (6) comprises a foot (9) that is seated on the floor and a leg (10) that is placed into the housing (8) by extending vertically to the foot (9) and that provides the body (2) to be carried so that a distance remains between the floor and the body (2).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the leg (10) comprises an insert (11) that is seated into the housing (8). In a derivative of this embodiment, the insert (11) is snap-fittingly seated into the housing (8). Thus, the support member (6) is provided to be easily fixed to the retainer (7).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the leg (10) comprises a connector(12), on one end of which the foot (9) is disposed and on the other end the insert (11), and which is wider than the insert (11) and bears against the flange (5) by remaining outside the housing (8) when the insert (11) is seated into the housing (8). Thus, the weight of the body (2) is provided to be carried at least partially by the connector(12).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the housing (8) is formed so as to provide the retainer (7) to grasp the insert (11) both from the sides and from the top. Thus, the weight of the body (2) is provided to be transferred onto the leg (10) in a balanced manner.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the leg (10) comprises an extension (13) located at the end of the insert (11). In this embodiment, the housing (8) comprises an opening (14) which is located at the housing (8) end that is far from the flange (5) and through which the extension (13) is inserted.
In a derivative of this embodiment, the leg (10) furthermore comprises a first hole (15) located on the extension (13). In this embodiment, the housing (8) comprises a second hole (16) which is located on its outer surface and aligned with the first hole (15). The display device (1) comprises a fixing means (17) which is mounted to the first hole (15) by being inserted through the second hole (16). Thus, the support member (6) is provided to be fixed to the retainer (7) in an easy and secured manner.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the display device (1) comprises a bracket (18) that is located between the panel (3) and the cover (4) and that has a recess which is aligned with the first hole (15) and the second hole (16). In this embodiment, the fixing means (17) is mounted to the recess by being inserted through the first hole (15) and the second hole (16).
In the display device (1) of the present invention, advantage is provided in terms of assembly and production costs by providing the support member (6) to be fixed to the body (2) without the need of using additional adapter components.
It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited by the embodiments disclosed above and a person skilled in the art can easily introduce different embodiments. These should be considered within the scope of the protection postulated by the claims of the present invention.

Claims (9)

  1. A display device (1) comprising a body (2) having
    - a panel (3),
    - a cover (4) covering the rear surface of the panel (3) and
    - a flange (5) which is located on the cover (4) and shaped as a frame extending from the cover (4) towards the panel (3) so as to provide a distance between them, and
    at least one support member (6) that is seated on a floor and hence provides the body (2) to be carried, characterized by a retainer (7) that has a housing (8) which opens to the lower surface of the flange (5) and wherein the support member (6) is partially seated, and that is integrated with the cover (4) and completely surrounds the support member (6).
  2. A display device (1) as in Claim 1, characterized by the support member (6) which comprises a foot (9) that is seated on the floor and a leg (10) that is placed into the housing (8) by extending vertically to the foot (9) and that provides the body (2) to be carried such that a distance remains between the floor and the body (2).
  3. A display device (1) as in Claim 2, characterized by the leg (10) which comprises an insert (11) that is seated into the housing (8).
  4. A display device (1) as in Claim 3, characterized by the insert (11) that is snap-fittingly seated into the housing (8).
  5. A display device (1) as in Claim 3 or 4, characterized by the leg (10) that comprises a connector (12), on one end of which the foot (9) is disposed and on the other end the insert (11), and which is wider than the insert (11) and bears against the flange (5) by remaining outside the housing (8) when the insert (11) is seated into the housing (8).
  6. A display device (1) as in any one of the Claims 3 to 5, characterized by the housing (8) that is formed so as to provide the retainer (7) to grasp the insert (11) both from the sides and from the top.
  7. A display device (1) as in any one of the Claims 3 to 6, characterized by the leg (10) that comprises an extension (13) located at the end of the insert (11), and the housing (8) that comprises an opening (14) which is located at the housing (8) end that is far from the flange (5) and through which the extension (13) is inserted.
  8. A display device (1) as in Claim 7, characterized by
    - the leg (10) that comprises a first hole (15) located on the extension (13),
    - the housing (8) that comprises a second hole (16) which is located on its outer surface and aligned with the first hole (15), and
    - a fixing means (17) that is mounted to the first hole (15) by being inserted through the second hole (16)
  9. A display device (1) as in Claim 8, characterized by a bracket (18) that is located between the panel (3) and the cover (4) and that has a recess which is aligned with the first hole (15) and the second hole (16), and the fixing means (17) that is mounted to the recess by being inserted through the first hole (15) and the second hole (16).
