Abstract
The utility model relates to a plastic-box arrangement for packaging core samples, for use in geology. The plastic-box arrangement comprises a planar base (1), smooth external walls (2) and partition walls (3) that define the compartments for each sample. The bases of each compartment (1) have holes (11) at the ends. The tops of the external walls (2) of the box have broad edges (21), and are engraved with a metric scale (22) for direct reading-off of the sample length. The tops of the external walls (2) also have an internal recess (23) for engagement of the edges of the base of the box stacked on top. The partition walls (3) of the compartments undulate, with long radii, in order to apply pressure to and to hold the stored samples.

A disposição compreende uma caixa com base plana, paredes laterais lisas e paredes divisórias que definem os compartimentos para cada testemunho. As bases dos compartimentos possuem orifícios nas extremidades. Os topos das paredes externas possuem bordas largas com escala métrica gravada. Os topos das paredes externas também possuem um rebaixo interno para encaixe das bordas da base da caixa que está sendo empilhada. As paredes divisórias dos compartimentos são onduladas com raios longos a fim de pressionar e reter os testemunhos armazenados.
