  • the present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device for stereoscopic display, and more particularly to a liquid crystal display device that realizes stereoscopic display by a so-called frame sequential method.

  • a so-called crosstalk phenomenon may occur in which an image for one eye is mixed into an image for one eye.
  • the image visually recognized by the observer becomes an image whose outline is blurred double or triple.
  • One of the main causes of the crosstalk phenomenon is that the response speed of the liquid crystal is not sufficient. For example, when a drive voltage is applied to switch the display to the left-eye image after displaying the right-eye image, if the liquid crystal molecules cannot respond to the change in the drive voltage sufficiently fast, The right-eye image is mixed in the image for use. This phenomenon occurs only in the pixel portion where the display content is different between the left-eye image and the right-eye image. Therefore, there arises a problem that the edge (contour) portion of the image looks double or triple.
