- the piezoelectric element 31 outputs a voltage (data) to the control unit 16 in accordance with the pressure on the touch surface 11 a of the panel 11.
- the conversion candidate is selected, and when tactile sensation presentation information is associated with the conversion candidate, Based on the tactile sensation presentation information, the tactile sensation providing unit 12 (piezoelectric element 31) is driven to present tactile sensation to the contact target. Thereafter, when the data satisfies the second threshold value, the selection of the one conversion candidate is determined, and the conversion of the unconverted character to the determined conversion candidate is confirmed.
- the voltage value (data value) output by the piezoelectric element 31 based on the pressure (pressure on the touch surface 11a related to contact) accompanying the contact with the contact area corresponding to the conversion candidate is the first value. It is detected that the second threshold value greater than the first threshold value is satisfied, and desired tactile sensation presentation information can be associated with the input character conversion confirmation. Thereby, compared with the second operation example, more reliable input operation is possible. Other functions and effects are the same as in the second operation example.
- the conversion threshold is selected when the first threshold is satisfied, but the second threshold is satisfied. In this case, the conversion candidate may be selected.
- the tactile sensation providing unit 12 is not limited to the configuration in which the panel 11 is directly vibrated by the piezoelectric element, but may be configured to indirectly vibrate the panel 11 using an eccentric motor or the like. Further, as in the third operation example, when detecting the pressure on the touch surface 11 a of the panel 11, a piezoelectric element or a strain sensor dedicated to pressure detection may be attached to the panel 11.
- the corresponding tactile sensation presentation information such as emotion can be associated with a predetermined character in the subtitles of a subtitle such as a movie.
- the tactile sensation can be presented in the tactile sensation presenting area on the touch surface corresponding to a predetermined character, thus improving the sense of reality. It becomes possible to do.
- the character that presents the tactile sensation is not limited to the character that expresses emotions, and may be any character.
- tactile sensation presentation information with an arbitrary character in a mail sentence so as to convey another character or sentence by a character with a tactile sensation, and to add encryption in the mail. Is possible.
- the tactile sensation presentation information is associated with the characters “finish”, “na”, “ga”, “wa” (“Shinagawa”) (actually the same font as other characters) shown in bold. Is shown.
- the display unit 13 and the panel 11 in the description of the above embodiment may be configured by an integrated device, for example, by providing both functions of the display unit 13 and the panel 11 on a common substrate. .
- a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements such as photodiodes are regularly arranged in a matrix electrode array of pixel electrodes included in the liquid crystal panel.
- This device displays an image with a liquid crystal panel structure, while reflecting the light of the backlight for liquid crystal display at the tip of the pen that contacts the desired position on the panel surface, and the surrounding photoelectric conversion elements receive this reflected light. By doing so, the touch position can be detected.
- the “contact” in the present invention is limited to physical contact particularly when an optical panel is used because the infrared ray on the panel is detected by a finger or a stylus pen. It is not something.
- the corresponding process is executed.
- a predetermined threshold value such as the first threshold value or the second threshold value
- the corresponding process is executed.
- the data satisfies the predetermined threshold value, It may be when the data reaches a predetermined value, when the data exceeds a predetermined value, or when a predetermined value is detected.
