Abstract
The invention relates to an electric drive system with common mode currents that are to be re-directed, said system comprising: - at least one electric machine (39), - at least one frequency inverter (30) - at least one voltage supply device (41) and voltage supply lines (42) between the voltage supply device (41) and the frequency inverter (30). The electric machine (39) has a rotor (25) and a stator (26) which surrounds the rotor and comprises a plurality of magnetic poles distributed around a machine axis (37), windings (27) housed in cavities (16) and cooling channels (61) through which coolant can flow and which are arranged in the cavities. The frequency inverter (30) and the electric machine (39) are located in a common, closed metal housing (24) and at least the stator (26) is electrically insulated in relation to the housing.
