Description

무선 접속 시스템의 이동국, 기지국 및 중계국
본 발명은 무선 접속 시스템의 이동국, 기지국 및 중계국에 관한 것이다.
최근 기존의 무선 접속 시스템보다 높은 신뢰성(high reliability, HR)을 지원하는 무선 접속 시스템에 대한 개발이 진행되고 있다. 이러한 무선 접속 시스템의 한 예로 IEEE 802.16 및 IEEE 802.16m의 보정안(amendment)으로 진행되고 있는 IEEE 802.16n 표준이 있다.
높은 신뢰성을 위해서, 무선 접속 시스템은 기지국, 이동국 또는 중계국이 다른 스테이션의 역할을 수행하는 다중 모드 동작(multi-mode operation), 무선 링크가 불능인 경우에는 통신을 지속하기 위한 단일점 파손(single point of failure, SPOF)에 대한 면역, 이동국 간의 직접 통신, 멀티캐스트 통신 등을 지원할 필요가 있다. 그러나 이러한 요구 사항을 만족시키기 위한 무선 접속 시스템이 아직 정의되지 않았다.
본 발명이 이루고자 하는 기술적 과제는 높은 신뢰성을 제공할 수 있는 무선 접속 시스템의 이동국, 기지국 및 중계국을 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 한 실시예에 따르면, 무선 접속 시스템의 이동국이 제공된다. 상기 이동국은, 매체 접근 제어 계층의 일부로서 라디오 자원 제어 및 관리를 담당하며, 제어 평면에 위치하는 제1 기능부, 그리고 상기 매체 접근 제어 계층의 일부로서 매체 접근 제어를 담당하며, 제어 평면과 데이터 평면에 위치하는 제2 기능부를 포함한다. 상기 제1 기능부는, 상기 이동국과 다른 이동국 사이의 직접 통신을 지원하는 직접 통신 관리 블록, 중계국 기능 또는 기지국 기능을 수행하도록 상기 이동국을 제어하는 다중 모드 관리 블록, 상기 이동국을 포함하는 멀티캐스트 그룹을 통해 그룹 통신을 수행하는 멀티캐스트 관리 블록, 그리고 상기 직접 통신을 위한 경로를 관리하는 경로 관리 블록을 포함한다.

또한 아래에서는 광대역 무선 접속 시스템용 에어 인터페이스(air interface for broadband wireless access systems)에 대한 표준인 IEEE 802.16 및 IEEE 802.16의 보정안(amendment)으로 진보된 에어 인터페이스(advanced air interface)에 대한 표준인 IEEE 802.16m에 대해서 높은 신뢰성(high reliability, HR)을 지원하는 네트워크(앞으로 "HR-Network"라 함)를 예로 들어서 본 발명의 실시예를 설명한다.
이 경우, IEEE 802.16에서 지원하는 이동 서비스를 위한 스테이션을 이동국(mobile station, MS)으로, MS의 연결성, 관리 및 제어를 위한 장비 세트를 기지국(base station, BS)으로, 중계 역할을 하는 장비 세트를 중계국(relay station, RS)로 정의한다. 이 경우, IEEE 802.16m의 요구 사항을 만족하는 MS, BS 및 RS를 각각 진보된 MS(advanced MS, AMS), 진보된 BS(advanced BS, ABS) 및 진보된 RS(advanced RS, ARS)로 정의하고, HR-Network의 요구 사항을 만족하는 MS, BS 및 RS를 각각 HR-MS, HR-BS 및 HR-RS로 정의한다. 그리고 HR-MS, HR-BS 또는 HR-RS를 통칭하여 HR-Network 내의 스테이션(HR-station)으로 정의한다.

도 2를 참고하면, 무선 접속 시스템의 프로토콜은 물리(physical, PHY) 계층(200), 매체 접근 제어(medium access control, MAC) 계층(300) 및 네트워크 계층(400)을 포함하며, MAC 계층(300)은 공통 부분 부계층(common part sublayer, CPS)(310)과 컨버전스 부계층(convergence sublayer, CS)(320)을 포함한다.
CPS(310)는 무선 자원 제어 및 관리(radio resource control and management, RRCM) 기능 블록(311)과 MAC 기능 블록(312)으로 분류된다. RRCM 기능 블록(311)은 제어 평면 상에 높이며, MAC 기능 블록(312)은 제어 평면과 데이터 평면에 위치한다.
RRCM 기능 블록(311)은 기존 시스템과의 역 호환성 지원 및 높은 신뢰성 지원을 위해서 기능 블록을 포함한다. 기능 블록은 해당 HR-station의 종류에 따라 직접 통신 관리 블록(311a), 스탠드얼론(standalone) 관리 블록(311b), 다중 모드(multi-mode) 관리 블록(311c), 향상된 멀티캐스트 관리 블록(311d), 고 신뢰성 제어 및 보고 관리(high reliability control and reporting management) 블록(311e), 경로 관리 블록(311f), 향상된 중계(enhanced relay) 블록(311g), 그리고 보안 관리(security management) 블록(311h) 중 적어도 일부 블록을 포함한다.

직접 통신 관리 블록(311a)은 HR-BS 및 HR-RS의 도움없이 HR-MS와 HR-MS 사이의 직접 통신을 지원하는 기능을 담당하는데, 직접 통신은 단일 홉(single hop) 또는 멀티 홉(multi-hop)을 통해 수행될 수 있다. 직접 통신 관리 블록(311a)은 HR-MS에만 형성될 수 있다. 스탠드얼론 관리 블록(311b)은 HR-BS의 백본 연결이 두절된 경우 지리적으로 제한된 지역에서 HR-BS의 영역(coverage) 내의 독립적인 네트워크를 구성하거나 백본이 연결되어 있는 다른 HR-BS와의 무선 링크를 통해 HR-station과의 연결을 지속적으로 유지하는 기능을 수행한다. 스탠드얼론 관리 블록(311b)은 HR-BS나 HR-BS의 역할을 수행하는 다른 HR-station에서 형성될 수 있다. 다중 모드 관리 블록(311c)은 HR-station의 본연의 역할을 다른 HR-station의 역할로 임시적으로 또는 지속적으로 변경하여 해당 HR-station의 역할을 수행하는 데 필요한 기능을 수행한다. 즉, 다중 모드 관리 블록(311c)에 의해 HR-BS는 중계국 기능을 수행할 수 있고, HR-MS는 중계국 기능 또는 기지국 기능을 수행할 수 있다.
향상된 멀티캐스트 관리 블록(311d)은 멀티캐스트 그룹을 통해 그룹 통신과 같은 멀티캐스트 통신을 수행한다. 고 신뢰성 제어 및 보고 관리 블록(311e)은 지연에 덜 민감하지만 높은 신뢰성을 지원해야 하는 트래픽을 제어하거나 보고하기 위한 기능을 수행한다. 경로 관리 블록(311f)은 SPOF 면역이나 직접 통신을 위한 경로의 관리(즉, 설정, 복구, 해제) 등의 기능을 수행한다. 경로 관리 블록(311f)은 HR-MS 사이의 경로, HR-RS/HR-BS 사이의 경로 및 HR-MS와 HR-BS 또는 HR-RS 사이의 경로를 관리할 수 있다. 향상된 중계 볼록(311g)은 SPOF 면역이나 직접 통신을 위하여 HR-station 사이의 중계 경로를 통한 경로의 유지 및 데이터 전달(forwarding)을 수행한다.
보안 관리 블록(311h)은 안전한 키 관리, 인증(authentication) 및 허가(authorization)를 수행하고, 암호화된 키를 통해 트래픽의 암호(encryption)/복호(decryption) 및 인증을 수행한다. 보안 관리 블록(311m)은 백본(backbone)의 연결이 두절되거나 SPOF(single point of failure) 면역(immunity)나 직접 통신을 위한 상호 인증(mutual authentication)과 그룹 통신을 위한 멀티캐스트 키 관리(multicast key management)를 수행할 수 있다. 상호 인증은 네트워크의 도움을 통해서 수행되거나 제한적으로 셀이나 한정된 공간 내에서 수행될 수 있다.
다중 반송파 지원 블록(311i)은 다중 반송파 환경을 지원하는 기능을 수행하며, 자기 구성 블록(311j)은 자기 구성 또는 자기 최적화(self-optimization)의 기능을 수행한다. 무선 자원 관리 블록(311k)은 트래픽 부하에 따른 무선 네트워크 파라미터의 조정, 부하 제어(load control, load balancing), 수락(admission) 제어, 간섭 제어 등의 블록을 수행한다. 이동성 관리 블록(311l)은 HR-station의 이동성을 제어하며, 네트워크 엔터티 관리 블록(311m)은 HR-MS의 네크워크 진입을 제어한다. 위치 관리 블록(311n)은 위치 기반 서비스를 제공하며, 유휴 모드 관리 블록(311o)은 HR-station의 유휴 모드 지원 및 제어 블록을 담당한다. 시스템 설정 관리 블록(311p)은 시스템 설정 정보를 관리하고 이를 HR-station으로 전달하며, MBS 블록(311q)은 하향링크로의 멀티캐스트 및/또는 방송 서비스 기능을 담당한다. 서비스 흐름 및 연결 관리 블록(311r)은 액세스 중이거나 핸드오버 시에 HR-station에 연결 식별자(connection ID)를 할당하거나 서비스 흐름(service flow)를 할당한다.
MAC 기능 블록(312)의 제어 평면 부분은 기능 블록을 포함하며, 기능 블록은 PHY 제어 블록(312a), 제어 시그널링 블록(312b), 수면 모드 관리 블록(312c), 서비스 품질(quality of service, QoS) 블록(312d), 스케줄링 및 자원 다중화 블록(312e), 다중 라디오 공존(multi-radio coexistence) 블록(312f), 그리고 데이터 전달 블록(312g) 중 적어도 일부를 포함한다.
PHY 제어 블록(312a)은 물리 계층 시그널링을 처리하며, 간섭 관리 블록, 레인징 블록 및 링크 적응 블록을 포함할 수 있다. 링크 적응 블록은 채널 품질 지시자(channel quality indicator, CQI), 복합 자동 재전송 요구(hybrid automatic retransmit request, HARQ), 전력 제어 등을 수행할 수 있다. 제어 시그널링 블록(312b)은 자원 할당 메시지를 생성한다. 수면 모드 관리 블록(312c)은 수면 모드 동작을 처리하며, QoS 블록(312d)은 QoS 파라미터에 기초하여 QoS 관리를 수행한다. 스케줄링 및 자원 다중화 블록(312e)은 연결의 속성이 기초하여 패킷을 스케줄링하거나 다중화하며, 데이터 전달 블록(312g)은 HR-station이 HR-BS와 HR-MS 사이의 경로에 존재할 때 데이터를 전달하는 기능을 수행한다. 다중 라디오 공존 블록(312f)은 허가된(licensed), 허가되지 않은(unlicensed), 일부 허가된(lightly-licensed) 스펙트럼(spectrum) 중 적어도 하나가 혼재된 무선 환경에서 HR-station의 가능한 스펙트럼을 제어 또는 설정하는 기능을 수행한다. 다중 라디오 공존 블록(312f)은 가능한 스펙트럼 중 하나의 스펙트럼만 선택해서 운용하거나 복수의 스펙트럼을 동시에 선택하여 동시에 운용할 수 있다.
MAC 기능 블록(312)의 데이터 평면 부분은 기능 블록을 포함하며, 기능 블록은 분할 및 조립(fragmentation and packing) 블록(312h) 및 MAC 패킷 데이터 유닛(packet data unit, PDU) 형성 블록(312i) 중 적어도 일부를 포함한다.
분할 및 조립 블록(312h)은 스케줄링 및 자원 다중화 블록(312e)의 스케줄링 결과에 기초하여 서비스 데이터 유닛(service data unit, SDU)을 분할하거나 조립하며, 자동 재전송 요구(automatic repeat request, ARQ) 기능을 포함한다. MAC PDU 형성 블록(312i)은 HR-station이 사용자 패킷이나 관리 메시지를 물리 계층(200)으로 전송할 수 있도록 MAC PDU를 형성하며, 암호화(encryption) 등을 수행할 수 있다.
CS(320)는 패킷 분류(classification), 헤더 압축(header suppression) 등을 수행한다.
이상, 도 2에 도시한 각 기능 블록은 하드웨어, 소프트웨어 또는 하드웨어와 소프트웨어의 결합으로 형성될 수 있으며, 여러 개의 기능 블록이 하나의 기능 블록으로 통합되어 존재할 수도 있다. 또한 무선 접속 시스템의 기능에 따라 도 2에 도시한 기능 블록 중 일부가 생략될 수도 있다.
다음 도 3을 참고하면, HR-MS 또는 HR-BS에서의 사용자 트래픽은 물리 계층(200)에서 CPS(310)의 데이터 평면[즉, MAC PDU 형성 블록(312i)과 분할 및 조립 블록(312h)]과 CS(320)를 거쳐 네트워크 계층(400)으로 전달되거나 그 반대로 전달된다. 송신단에서, 네트워크 계층의 패킷이 CS(320), 분할 및 조립 블록(312h), MAC PDU 형성 블록(312i)에서 처리되어 물리 계층으로 전송될 MAC PDU로 형성된다. 수신단에서, 물리 계층의 SDU가 MAC PDU 형성 블록(312i), 분할 및 조립 블록(312h), CS(320)에서 처리되어 네트워크 계층의 패킷으로 형성된다. 이때 도 3에 점선 화살표로 도시한 것처럼, CPS(310)의 기능 블록 사이 및 CPS(310)와 물리 계층(200) 사이에서 사용자 트래픽의 처리와 관련된 제어 프리미티브가 전달될 수 있다.
도 4를 참고하면, 송신단에서, HR-BS 또는 HR-MS에서의 제어 평면 시그널링은 제어 평면의 기능 블록에서 데이터 평면의 기능 블록으로 전달되며, 제어 평면 시그널링은 데이터 평면의 기능 블록에 의해 처리되어 에어 인터페이스로 전송될 MAC 시그널링(예를 들면, MAC 제어 메시지, MAC 헤더 등)으로 형성된다. 수신단에서, 에어 인터페이스를 통해 수신한 MAC 시그널링이 데이터 평면의 기능 블록에 의해 처리되고, 제어 평면의 기능 블록이 처리된 제어 평면 시그널링을 수신한다.
다음 도 5를 참고하면, HR-RS의 프로토콜 구조는 도 2에 도시한 HR-MS 또는 HR-BS의 프로토콜 구조에서 일부 기능이 생략된 구조이다. 예를 들면, HR-RS의 프로토콜 구조는 도 2에 도시한 프로토콜 구조에서 CS(320), 무선 자원 관리 블록(311a), 유휴 모드 관리 블록(311e), 시스템 설정 관리 블록(311g), 서비스 흐름 및 연결 관리 블록(311i) 등의 기능 블록이 생략될 수 있다.
다음, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 무선 접속 시스템에서 중계 기능이 존재하는 경우의 연결 관계에 대해서 도 6을 참고로 하여 설명한다.
도 6은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 무선 접속 시스템에서의 중계 관련 연결을 나타내는 도면이다. 도 6에서는 BS, ABS, HR-BS 외에 IEEE 802.16의 보정안으로 멀티 홉 중계(multi-hop relay, MR)에 대한 표준인 IEEE 802.16j의 요구 사항을 만족하는 BS(앞으로 "MRBS"라 함)가 추가로 존재하는 것으로 가정한다.
도 6을 참고하면, HR-MS, AMS 또는 MS는 HR-BS, ABS 또는 MRBS에 직접 연결되거나, 적어도 하나의 HR-RS, ARS 또는 RS를 거쳐 HR-BS, ABS 또는 MRBS에 연결될 수 있다. 또한 하나의 HR-BS 내에 종속된(subordinated) HR-BS 또는 HR-RS가 적어도 한 개 존재할 수 있으며, 하나의 HR-MS가 다른 HR-MS와 연결될 수도 있다. 각 연결의 지원 여부와 사용되는 프로토콜과 표 1과 같이 표시될 수 있다. 이때, MS와 HR-RS, ARS 또는 RS은 IEEE 802.16의 에어 인터페이스(도 6에서 일점쇄선으로 표시된 화살표), RS와 HR-BS는 IEEE 802.16j의 에어 인터페이스(도 6에서 굵은 실선으로 표시된 화살표), ARS와 HR-BS는 IEEE 802.16m의 에어 인터페이스(도 6에서 가는 실선으로 표시된 화살표)를 통해 연결될 수 있다. 또한 도 6에서 점선으로 표시된 화살표는 에어 인터페이스를 지원하지 않는 것을 나타낸다.

다음, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 무선 접속 시스템의 프로토콜 구조에서 높은 신뢰성을 지원하기 위한 기능 블록에 대해서 도 7 내지 도 15를 참고로 하여 상세하게 설명한다.
도 7은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 직접 통신을 위한 네트워크 모델을 나타내는 도면이며, 도 8은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 직접 통신 관리 블록을 나타내는 도면이다.
도 7을 참고하면, HR-MS와 HR-MS는 제어 평면의 연결(Rd)을 통해 직접 통신을 수행하며, 프로토콜 구조 중에서 직접 통신 관리 블록이 직접 통신을 관리한다.
도 8을 참고하면, 직접 통신 관리 블록(800)은 직접 통신 제어(direct communication control) 관리 블록(810), 직접 통신 데이터(direct communication data) 전송 관리 블록(820) 및 직접 통신 데이터 전달(direct communication data forwarding) 관리 블록(830)을 포함한다.
직접 통신 제어 관리 블록(810)은 HR-MS와 HR-MS간 직접 통신 트래픽 전송의 관리(즉, 시작, 유지, 변경 또는 해제)를 위해 PHY 프레임을 제어한다. 또한 직접 통신 제어 관리 블록(810)은 직접 통신 트래픽 송신 또는 수신을 위한 직접 통신 스케줄링 및 논리 대 물리(logical-to-physical) 채널 매핑 기능을 수행한다. 직접 통신 데이터 전송 블록(820)은 HR-MS와 HR-MS간의 단일 홉 또는 멀티 홉 직접 통신 트래픽 전송 기능을 수행한다. 직접 통신 데이터 전달 블록(830)은 HR-MS와 HR-MS 사이에서 직접 통신을 수행하는 동안 직접 통신을 통해 수신받은 데이터를 직접 통신을 수행하지 않는 HR-station으로 전달하는 기능을 수행한다. 이때 데이터는 상위 네트워크로 전달되거나 상위 네트워크로 전달되지 않고 로컬로 전달(local forwarding)될 수도 있다.
도 9은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 스탠드얼론 네트워크 모델을 나타내는 도면이며, 도 10은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 스탠드얼론 관리 블록을 나타내는 도면이다.
도 9을 참고하면, HR-BS의 백본 연결이 두절된 상태에서 스탠드얼론 관리 블록에 의해 스탠드얼론 네트워크가 형성될 수 있다. 이때, HR-BS와 HR-BS 사이에 백본이 아닌 무선 링크를 통한 제어 평면의 연결(R8)이 존재한다. 그리고 HR-BS와 HR-MS 사이에 제어 평면 및 베어러 평면의 연결(R1)이 존재하고, HR-MS와 HR-MS 사이에 직접 통신을 위한 제어 평면의 연결이 존재할 수 있다. 제어 평면의 연결은 직접 통신 관리 블록에서 수행되는 Rd 에어 인터페이스이거나 무선랜, 블루투스 등과 같은 다른 에어 인터페이스일 수 있다.
도 10을 참고하면, 스탠드얼론 관리 블록(1000)은 스탠드얼론 제어(standalone control) 관리 블록(1010), 스탠드얼론 유지(standalone maintenance) 관리 블록(1020) 및 스탠드얼론 데이터 전송(standalone data transmission) 관리 블록(1030)을 포함한다.
스탠드얼론 제어 관리 블록(1010)은 백복의 연결이 두절된 경우 연결을 지속적으로 유지하기 위한 제어 및 설정 기능을 수행한다. 스탠드얼론 유지 관리 블록(1020)은 스탠드얼론을 지속하거나 변경하기 위해 경로의 관리(즉, 설정, 유지, 변경 또는 해제) 기능을 수행하거나, 현재의 셀 또는 이웃 셀의 토폴로지 정보를 획득 또는 전달하는 기능을 수행한다. 스탠드얼론 데이터 전송 관리 블록(1030)은 스탠드얼론 네트워크 하에서 HR-MS과의 통신을 위해 데이터를 전송하거나 다른 HR-BS을 통해 상위 네트워크로 데이터를 송신 또는 수신하기 위한 기능을 수행한다.
도 11은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 다중 모드 관리 블록을 나타내는 도면이다.
도 11을 참고하면, 다중 모드 관리 블록(1100)은 다중 모드 설정 및 제어(multi-mode configuration and control) 관리 블록(1110), 연결 유지(connection maintenance) 관리 블록(1120) 및 링크 측정 및 보고(link measurement and report) 관리 블록(1130)을 포함한다.
다중 모드 설정 및 제어 관리 블록(1110)은 HR-BS나 HR-RS 등의 HR-station이 역할을 수행하지 못하거나 무선 링크가 단절되거나 변경되는 경우 HR-station의 역할을 변경하기 위한 설정 및 제어하는 역할을 수행한다. 다중 모드 설정 및 제어 관리 블록(1110)은 역할 변경의 설정 및 제어를 위해서 네트워크 프로세스를 병합 또는 분리하거나, 네트워크 프로세스를 시작, 변경 또는 종료할 수 있다. 연결 유지 관리 블록(1120)은 현재 진행 중인 서비스를 유지 또는 변경하거나, 종속된 HR-MS를 관리한다. 연결 유지 관리 블록(1120)은 스탠드얼론 네트워크 환경이나 직접 통신 환경 내에서 현재 진행 중인 서비스를 유지 또는 변경하거나, 상위 네트워크와의 연결 유지를 위해 다른 HR-BS와의 경로 설정을 제어할 수도 있다. 또한 연결 유지 관리 블록(1120)은 종속된 HR-MS의 그룹 핸드오버, 그룹 네트워크 진입 또는 재진입, 콜백(callback) 핸드오버, 우선 순위에 의한 연결 설정 제어 등을 관리할 수도 있다. 링크 측정 및 보고 관리 블록(1130)은 HR-station 사이의 무선 링크 품질을 측정하여, 무선 링크 품질을 다른 HR-station에 보고하는 기능을 수행한다. 또한 링크 측정 및 보고 관리 블록(1130)은 역할 변경을 위한 네트워크 (재)설정을 위해 HR-BS 사이에 채널 품질이나 토폴로지 등의 정보를 교환하여 다중 모드를 유지하거나 변경하는 기능을 수행한다.
도 12는 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 향상된 멀티캐스트 블록을 나타내는 도면이다.
도 12를 참고하면, 향상된 멀티캐스트 블록(1200)은 향상된 멀티캐스트 그룹 설정(enhanced multicast group configuration) 관리 블록(1210), 향상된 멀티캐스트 세션(enhanced multicast session) 관리 블록(1220), 향상된 멀티캐스트 키(enhanced multicast key) 관리 블록(1230) 및 향상된 멀티캐스트 제어(enhanced multicast control) 관리 블록(1240)을 포함한다.
향상된 멀티캐스트 그룹 설정 관리 블록(1210)은 멀티캐스트 그룹 내에서 멀티캐스트 통신의 설정, 변경 또는 해제 등을 관리한다. HR-station은 하나 또는 복수의 멀티캐스트 그룹에 속할 수 있다. 향상된 멀티캐스트 세션 관리 블록(1220)은 멀티캐스트 서비스의 등록 또는 등록 해제 및 단말의 상태에 상관없이 멀티캐스트 세션의 시작, 변경 또는 종료 등을 관리한다. 향상된 멀티캐스트 키 관리 블록(1230)은 SPOF 면역과 직접 통신을 지원하는 멀티캐스트 그룹의 신뢰성 있는 멀티캐스트 전송을 위해, 멀티캐스트 키를 통한 안전(secure)한 전송을 지원한다. 향상된 멀티캐스트 제어 관리 블록(1240)은 멀티캐스트 트래픽 송신 또는 수신을 위한 멀티캐스트 스케줄링을 수행하며, 논리 대 물리 채널 매핑을 수행할 수 있다.
도 13은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 다중 라디오 공존 블록을 나타내는 도면이다.
도 13을 참고하면, 다중 라디오 공존 블록(1300)은 스펙트럼 설정(spectrum configuration) 관리 블록(1310) 및 스펙트럼 제어(spectrum control) 관리 블록(1320)을 포함한다.
스펙트럼 설정 관리 블록(1310)은 허가되지 않은 스펙트럼, 일부 허가된 스펙트럼 또는 허가된 스펙트럼에서의 운용을 제어하거나 운용 가능한 스펙트럼을 설정하거나 제어하며, 적어도 하나의 스펙트럼을 동시에 운용할 수 있다. 스펙트럼 제어 관리 블록(1320)은 HR-station 사이에 에어 인터페이스를 통한 통신이 가능하도록 스펙트럼을 제어하며, 스펙트럼의 센싱(sensing), 선택, 변경, 유지, 해지 등의 기능을 수행할 수 있다.
도 14는 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 고 신뢰성 제어 및 보고 관리 블록을 나타내는 도면이다.
도 14를 참고하면, 고 신뢰성 제어 및 보고 관리 블록(1400)은 고 신뢰성 제어(high reliable control) 관리 블록(1410), 고 신뢰성 보고(high reliable report) 관리 블록(1420) 및 고 신뢰성 연결(high reliable connection) 관리 블록(1430)을 포함한다.
고 신뢰성 제어 관리 블록(1410)은 높은 신뢰성을 위하여 HR-station을 제어하여 적절한 목적을 위해 모니터(monitor)나 센싱(sensing)하도록 하는 기능을 수행한다. 고 신뢰성 보고 관리 블록(1420)은 모니터나 센싱한 결과를 다른 HR-station로 보고하는 기능을 수행한다. 고 신뢰성 연결 관리 블록(1430)은 신뢰성 있는 서비스의 등록 또는 등록 해지와 신뢰성 있는 연결의 시작, 변경 또는 종료를 관리한다.
도 15는 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 경로 관리 블록을 나타내는 도면이다.
도 15를 참고하면, 경로 관리 블록(1500)은 경로 설정(path configuration) 관리 블록(1510), 경로 제어(path control) 관리 블록(1520), 경로 발견(path discovery) 관리 블록(1530), 경로 유지(path maintenance) 관리 블록(1540) 및 경로 선택(path selection) 관리 블록(1550)을 포함한다.
경로 설정 관리 블록(1510)은 경로 발견(path discovery), 경로 설립(path establishment), 경로 선택(path selection), 경로 유지(path maintenance), 경로 복구(path recovery) 등의 기능을 수행하기 위한 설정을 관리한다. 경로 제어 관리 블록(1520)은 HR-station 간의 경로를 제어하기 위한 기능을 수행하며, 경로 발견 관리 블록(1530)은 주기적으로 또는 붕괴(disruption)가 발생하는 경우에 이웃 발견(neighbor discovery) 또는 경로 발견을 수행한다. 경로 유지 관리 블록(1540)은 HR-station 간의 경로 설립, 경로 해제, 경로 재설립 등을 관리한다. 경로 선택 관리 블록(1550)은 HR-station 사이의 복수의 유효 경로 중에서 최적의 경로를 설정하거나 복수의 유효 경로 중에 빠른 복구(fast recovery)를 위한 경로를 선정하는 기능을 수행한다.
이상에서 설명한 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 프로토콜 구조에 따르면 높은 신뢰성을 가지는 무선 접속 시스템을 제공할 수 있다.
이상에서 본 발명의 실시예에 대하여 상세하게 설명하였지만 본 발명의 권리범위는 이에 한정되는 것은 아니고 다음의 청구범위에서 정의하고 있는 본 발명의 기본 개념을 이용한 당업자의 여러 변형 및 개량 형태 또한 본 발명의 권리범위에 속하는 것이다.

    상기 이동국과 다른 이동국 사이의 직접 통신을 지원하는 직접 통신 관리 블록,
    중계국 기능 또는 기지국 기능을 수행하도록 상기 이동국을 제어하는 다중 모드 관리 블록,
    상기 이동국을 포함하는 멀티캐스트 그룹을 통해 그룹 통신을 수행하는 멀티캐스트 관리 블록, 그리고
    상기 직접 통신을 위한 경로를 관리하는 경로 관리 블록
    을 포함하는 이동국.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 직접 통신 관리 블록은,
    상기 이동국과 상기 다른 이동국 사이의 직접 통신 트래픽 전송의 관리를 위해 프레임을 제어하는 직접 통신 제어 관리 블록,
    직접 통신 트래픽의 전송 기능을 수행하는 직접 통신 데이터 전송 블록, 그리고
    상기 직접 통신을 수행하는 동안, 데이터를 직접 통신을 수행하지 않는 스테이션으로 전달하는 직접 통신 데이터 전달 블록
    을 포함하는 이동국.
  3. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 다중 모드 관리 블록은,
    상기 이동국의 역할을 변경하기 위한 설정 및 제어를 수행하는 다중 모드 설정 및 제어 관리 블록,
    현재 진행 중인 서비스를 유지하거나 변경하는 연결 유지 관리 블록, 그리고
    상기 이동국의 무선 링크 품질을 측정하고, 상기 무선 링크 품질을 다른 스테이션에 보고하는 링크 측정 및 보고 관리 블록
    을 포함하는 이동국.
  4. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 멀티캐스트 관리 블록은,
    상기 멀티캐스트 그룹 내에서 멀티캐스트 통신의 설정, 변경 또는 해제를 관리하는 멀티캐스트 그룹 설정 관리 블록,
    멀티캐스트 서비스의 등록 또는 등록 해제 및 멀티캐스트 세션의 시작, 변경 또는 종료를 관리하는 멀티캐스트 세션 관리 블록, 그리고
    신뢰성 있는 멀티캐스트 전송을 위해서 멀티캐스트 키를 관리하는 멀티캐스트 키 관리 블록
    을 포함하는 이동국.
  5. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 경로 관리 블록은,
    경로 발견, 경로 설립, 경로 선택, 경로 유지 또는 경로 복구를 수행하기 위한 설정을 관리하는 경로 설정 관리 블록,
    경로를 제어하기 위한 기능을 수행하는 경로 제어 관리 블록,
    이웃 발견(neighbor discovery) 또는 경로 발견을 수행하는 경로 발견 관리 블록,
    경로 설립, 경로 해제 또는 경로 재설립 등을 관리하는 경로 유지 관리 블록, 그리고
    복수의 유효 경로 중에서 최적의 경로를 설정하거나 복수의 유효 경로 중에 빠른 복구를 위한 경로를 선정하는 경로 선택 관리 블록
    을 포함하는 이동국.
  6. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 기능부는, 중계 경로를 통한 경로의 유지 및 데이터 전달을 수행하는 중계 블록을 더 포함하는 이동국.
  7. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 기능부는, 직접 통신을 위한 상호 인증과 그룹 통신을 위한 멀티캐스트 키 관리를 수행하는 보안 관리 블록을 더 포함하는 이동국.
  8. 무선 접속 시스템의 기지국으로서,
    매체 접근 제어 계층의 일부로서 라디오 자원 제어 및 관리를 담당하며, 제어 평면에 위치하는 제1 기능부, 그리고
    상기 매체 접근 제어 계층의 일부로서 매체 접근 제어를 담당하며, 제어 평면과 데이터 평면에 위치하는 제2 기능부
    를 포함하며,
    상기 제1 기능부는,
    중계국 기능을 수행하도록 상기 기지국을 제어하는 다중 모드 관리 블록,
    복수의 이동국을 포함하는 멀티캐스트 그룹을 통해 그룹 통신을 수행하는 멀티캐스트 관리 블록, 그리고
    기지국의 백본 연결이 두절된 경우 독립적인 네트워크를 구성하거나 백본이 연결되어 있는 다른 기지국과의 무선 링크를 통해 스테이션과의 연결을 유지하는 스탠드얼론 관리 블록
    을 포함하는 기지국.
  9. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 다중 모드 관리 블록은,
    상기 기지국의 역할을 변경하기 위한 설정 및 제어를 수행하는 다중 모드 설정 및 제어 관리 블록,
    현재 진행 중인 서비스를 유지하거나 변경하는 연결 유지 관리 블록, 그리고
    상기 기지국의 무선 링크 품질을 측정하고, 상기 무선 링크 품질을 다른 스테이션에 보고하는 링크 측정 및 보고 관리 블록
    을 포함하는 기지국.
  10. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 멀티캐스트 관리 블록은,
    상기 멀티캐스트 그룹 내에서 멀티캐스트 통신의 설정, 변경 또는 해제를 관리하는 멀티캐스트 그룹 설정 관리 블록,
    멀티캐스트 서비스의 등록 또는 등록 해제 및 멀티캐스트 세션의 시작, 변경 또는 종료를 관리하는 멀티캐스트 세션 관리 블록,
    신뢰성 있는 멀티캐스트 전송을 위해서 멀티캐스트 키를 관리하는 멀티캐스트 키 관리 블록, 그리고
    멀티캐스트 트래픽 송신 또는 수신을 위한 멀티캐스트 스케줄링을 수행하는 멀티캐스트 제어 관리 블록
    을 포함하는 기지국.
  11. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 스탠드얼론 관리 블록은,
    상기 백복의 연결이 두절된 경우 연결을 유지하기 위한 제어 및 설정 기능을 수행하는 스탠드얼론 제어 관리 블록,
    스탠드얼론을 지속하거나 변경하기 위해 경로를 관리하거나, 현재의 셀 또는 이웃 셀의 토폴로지 정보를 획득 또는 전달하는 스탠드얼론 유지 관리 블록, 그리고
    스탠드얼론 네트워크 하에서 이동국과의 통신을 위해 데이터를 전송하거나, 다른 기지국을 을 통해 상위 네트워크와 데이터를 송수신하기 위한 기능을 수행하는 스탠드얼론 데이터 전송 관리 블록
    을 포함하는 기지국.
  12. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 기능부는, SPOF(single point of failure) 면역을 위한 경로를 관리하는 경로 관리 블록을 더 포함하는 기지국.
  13. 제12항에 있어서,
    상기 경로 관리 블록은,
    경로 발견, 경로 설립, 경로 선택, 경로 유지 또는 경로 복구를 수행하기 위한 설정을 관리하는 경로 설정 관리 블록,
    경로를 제어하기 위한 기능을 수행하는 경로 제어 관리 블록,

    상기 제1 기능부는,
    기지국 기능을 수행하도록 상기 중계국을 제어하는 다중 모드 관리 블록, 그리고
    복수의 이동국을 포함하는 멀티캐스트 그룹을 통해 그룹 통신을 수행하는 멀티캐스트 관리 블록
    을 포함하는 중계국.
  17. 제16항에 있어서,
    상기 다중 모드 관리 블록은,
    상기 중계국의 역할을 변경하기 위한 설정 및 제어를 수행하는 다중 모드 설정 및 제어 관리 블록,
    현재 진행 중인 서비스를 유지하거나 변경하는 연결 유지 관리 블록, 그리고
