- Sedimentation or the deposition of sediments, may be measured. This is desirable, and may well be essential, in a number of circumstances. This may include monitoring of the environmental impact of certain activities undertaken in marine environments, such as dredging. These measurements may be mandated in certain circumstances, such as those in which environmental approvals are required for the conduct of certain activities in or around marine and estuarine environments.

It is envisaged that the batteries 124 will be replaceable and easily accessible by a user, through the removal of the end plate 62, without the need to disassemble any further components of the sedimentation monitoring apparatus 100.

Abstract
L'invention concerne un appareil de suivi d'une sédimentation (10), comprenant un boîtier (12) et au moins un dispositif de capture d'images (40) situé dans ce boîtier (12), au moins une partie du boîtier (12) étant transparente et le ou chaque appareil de capture d'images (40) étant agencé de manière à ce que chacun puisse capturer des images des environs de l'appareil (10) au travers de la partie transparente du boîtier (30).
