Abstract

The invention relates to a method for immobilising an antimicrobial active substance on the surface of a substrate, according to which the surface of the substrate is treated with a composition containing the following constituents: (i) a solvent, (ii) a hydrophobin (H), (iii) a cationic antimicrobial active substance (W), and (iv) optionally additives or auxiliary constituents (HK). Said method enables a long-lasting antimicrobial finishing for substrates.
