Abstract

Description

A PENCIL SHARPENER WITH DUAL BLADES Technical Field
The invention relates to a pencil sharpener with dual blades, and more particularly, to a pencil sharpener having two blades in one pencil receiving opening thus achieving an increased sharpening efficiency.
Background Art
Pencil sharpener is a common kind of stationery which usually has a frame with a pencil receiving opening. The pencil receiving opening is a cone having a cutting blade installed along a generatrix thereof. In use, a user is able to insert a pencil into the receiving opening and rotate until a lead of the pencil is cut suitable to write.
This kind of pencil sharpener has a shortcoming of low efficiency. Therefore it has long been desired to have a high efficient pencil sharpener which is able to achieve basically a same effect of cutting under about, e.g., a half number of cycles of the pencil.
Technical Problem
The main object of the invention is to provide a pencil which is able to achieve a same effect of cutting under about a half number of cycles of the pencil as the above mentioned conventional pencil sharpener.
Technical Solution
In order to achieve the object, the invention provide a pencil sharpener having a frame in which a receiving opening in a shape of cone is defined. Two blades are installed along each of two opposite generatrices lines of the receiving opening.
Advantageous Effects
The invention is able to achieve a same effect of cutting under about a half number of cycles of the pencil as conventional pencil sharpeners.

 Best Mode
With reference to Figs. 1 to 7, the preferred embodiment of the invention, a pencil sharpener 1 with dual blades is shown. The pencil sharpener 1 has a frame 10 in which a receiving opening 20 in a shape of cone for receiving an end of a pencil is defined. Two blades 31, 32 are installed respectively along each of two opposite generatrices lines. Each of the blade 31or 32 is able to be installed to the frame 10 by a screw 33.
In use, a user is able to insert an end of a pencil needs to be sharpened into the receiving opening 20 of the sharpener 10 and then rotate the pencil. Unlike the aforementioned conventional pencil sharpener, the pencil contact to two blades 31 and 32 at the same time and when the user rotates the pencil, two blades 31 and 32 are able to cut the pencil at the same time, which double increases an efficiency of cutting of a pencil. For the pencil sharpener 1 of the invention, a same effect of cutting is able to be achieved under about a half number of cycles of the pencil.

Claims (1)

1. A pencil sharpener 1 comprising:
a frame 10, in which a receiving opening 20 in a shape of cone is defined, and,
two blades 31, 32 each being installed along one of two opposite generatrices lines of said receiving opening 20.
2. The pencil sharpener 1 as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of said blade 31or 32 is installed to said frame 10 by a screw 33.
