Abstract
The invention relates to a time‑controlled crowbar (11) which is designed such that it monitors the switched‑on period (t) of the at least one downstream electronic component (12) and the period length (T) of the clocking and hence the supply of power such that a maximum permissible surface temperature - prescribed in the area at risk of explosion - for the at least one downstream component (12) is not exceeded.
