Definitions
- the present invention relates to a Bluetooth communication method and system between a Bluetooth device and a plurality of terminals supporting a Bluetooth function.
- Bluetooth technology replaces the need for multiple cable connections between devices through a single wireless connection within short range.
- Bluetooth wireless technology when Bluetooth wireless technology is implemented in mobile phones and laptop computers, it can be connected and used without cables. Virtually any digital device can be part of a Bluetooth system, as well as printers, PDAs, desktops, FAX, keyboards and joysticks.
- Bluetooth wireless technology provides a universal bridge to create interfaces between existing data networks and peripherals, and to create special groups between devices that are remote from the fixed network infrastructure. can do. Designed to operate in a noisy radio frequency environment, Bluetooth uses fast recognition and frequency hopping to strengthen the connection. The Bluetooth module avoids interference with other signals by making new frequency hopping after receiving or sending packets. Compared to other systems operating in the same frequency band, Bluetooth uses particularly fast and short packets.
- the Bluetooth devices that can communicate with each other by the Bluetooth communication method are connected to each other by performing operations such as Inquiry, Inquiry Scan, Page, and Page Scan. Configure In this process, a master device and a slave device are determined according to their roles.
- Inquiry during the process of configuring the connection state refers to an operation of repeatedly transmitting the operating frequency from the master so that the slave device can match the frequency pattern with the master device.
- Inquiry scan is a process performed by the slave device to detect a received frequency and synchronize with the detected frequency.
- a page refers to a process of sending a clock signal from a master device so that the slave devices can match the master's operation clock, and a page scan means that the slave device detects and synchronizes a received clock.
- one master device in a piconet can communicate with each other by connecting seven slave devices in an active state.
- the master device disconnects the active state from any of the seven slave devices connected to the active state and performs an active communication connection with the new slave device. .
- an active mode for performing normal communication with a slave device and a hold / sniff / park mode for saving power of the communication device are mastered.
- the device and the slave device operate.
- Hold mode is a typical mode used when there is no need to send data for a relatively long time.
- Sniff mode is a mode for transmitting and receiving data for a certain period from a specific time set between the master device and the slave device.
- the park mode is a mode in which the slave device performs intermittent communication between the master device and the slave device in order to request synchronization with the master device and switching of the active mode.
- the slave device operating in any one of an active mode and a hold / sniff / park mode performs repeatedly the operation with a predetermined period.
- the slave device operating in the hold mode may be regarded as a periodic operation like other modes because it is a one-time operation mode that does not have a repetitive period, or because the slave device wakes up and communicates with the master device.
- the master device sets a communication allocation time with each slave device in the corresponding mode through communication negotiation with the slave device whose mode is to be converted.
- These slave devices are set to operate with periodicity for the mode through negotiation with the master device. Therefore, conventionally, the master device and the slave device communicate with each other fixedly with the communication allocation time and period set by mutual negotiation until the mode of the slave device is changed.

- the Bluetooth device when the Bluetooth device successfully pairs with one of a plurality of terminals having the same identification information, the Bluetooth device may perform Bluetooth communication with the other terminal without a pairing procedure. Therefore, inconvenience of a user who has to perform a pairing procedure several times can be reduced.
- Bluetooth communication with the Bluetooth device may be performed using a plurality of other terminals, and thus, the paired terminal and the Bluetooth device Even if is far away, it may be useful to the advertiser because it can transmit the advertising data through another terminal nearby.
