Abstract

The invention provides a method and a control device for operating a heating plant. The heating plant has a boiler with a combustion chamber in which at least one heat store element is provided. Furthermore, the heating plant comprises a burner for heating the combustion chamber, a heating body and a temperature sensor, a pump and a water circuit through the boiler, the pump and the heating body back to the boiler. The method comprises the following steps: when the burner and the pump are on, checking whether the temperature measured by the temperature sensor exceeds a first threshold value; if the measured temperature exceeds the first threshold value, deactivating the burner and allowing the pump to run on; when the pump has run on, deactivating the pump. Furthermore, the application also relates to systems for storing heat in relatively large heating plants.
