Description

Watch holder
The present invention relates to a watch holder according to the preamble of claim 1. Known watch holders have a structure for holding a wrist watch in order to display the wrist watch in a store for example. Usually, the front side of the wrist watch is displayed to the customer in order to show the design of a time display and possibly of a date display when mounted on such a known watch holder.
It was an object of the present invention to provide an alternative watch holder.
This object is solved by the indicated measures of the characterizing part of claim 1. Further embodiments of the invention are given in dependent claims.
The present invention relates to a watch holder with a structure for holding a wrist watch. The structure
comprises a magnifying device. Thereby, a back side of a displayed wrist watch can be presented to a customer without removing the wrist watch form the structure.
Furthermore, the customer can easily recognize magnified details of a back side of the wrist watch, when the wrist watch is mounted on the watch holder.
An embodiment of the present invention is that the
magnifying device is detachably mounted onto the structure. Thereby, different magnifying devices of different
magnification factor can be chosen dependent on the display location . Another embodiment of the present invention is that the magnifying device is a magnifying lens having a
magnification factor up to 10.
Another embodiment of the present invention is that the magnifying lens is a convex lens or a concave lens.
Another embodiment of the present invention is that the magnifying lens is mounted on a support plate of the structure .
Another embodiment of the present invention is that the magnifying lens is made out of resin or glass.
Another embodiment of the present invention is that the magnifying lens has a diameter of 40mm to 80mm, preferably between 55mm to 60mm.
Another embodiment of the present invention is that the magnifying device comprises a transparent front side and a metal-coated rear side or that the magnifying device comprises a metal-coated front side and a transparent rear side .
A further embodiment of the present invention is that the metal-coated front side or rear side is Ag- or Al-coated.
Another embodiment of the present invention is that the structure is formed as a C-ring.
The present invention is further explained with the aid of examples of embodiments, which are shown in figures. There is shown in:
fig. 1 schematically, a watch holder according to the present invention; fig. 2 schematically, another watch holder
according to the present invention with a wrist watch mounted onto;
fig. 3 schematically, a structure for holding a
wrist watch of a watch holder according to the present invention; and
fig. 4a schematically, a magnifying lens to be
mounted on a watch holder according to the present invention;
fig. 4b schematically, a side view of the magnifying lens according to figure 4a;
fig. 5a schematically, another magnifying lens to be mounted on a watch holder according to the present invention; and
fig. 5b shows another side view of the magnifying lens according to figure 5a.
Schematically, a watch holder 1 according to the present invention is shown in figure 1. The watch holder 1
comprises a structure 2 for holding a wrist watch (not shown in figure 1) . The structure 2 is formed as a C-ring 20. The C-ring 20 has two endings 4 forming a knee.
Further, the structure 2 is mounted on a pedestal 5. The pedestal 5 is mounted onto a pedestal holder 15. A
magnifying device 6 is arranged in an inner region 7 of the structure 2. The inner region 7 has a concave shape as depicted in figure 1. The magnifying device 6 can be a magnifying lens 60 having a magnification factor up to 10. The magnifying device 6 has a transparent front side 8 and a metal-coated rear side 9. It is also conceivable that the front side 8 is metal-coated and that the rear side 9 is transparent. The metal-coated front side 8 or metal-coated rear side 9, respectively, can be e.g. Ag- or Al-coated. The magnifying lens 60 is made out of e.g. resin or glass.
Figure 2 shows schematically another watch holder 1
according to the present invention with a wrist watch 10 mounted onto the structure 2. Reference signs depicted in figure 2 correspond to the same features each having a corresponding reference sign already introduced in figure 1. An optical reflexion 11 of a magnified back side 110 of the wrist watch 10 and of magnified parts 200 of the structure 2 are depicted in figure 2. A watch strap 12 of the wrist watch 10 is detachably mounted onto the structure 2.
Figure 3 shows schematically the watch holder 1 for holding the wrist watch (not shown in figure 3) of a watch holder 1 according to the present invention. Reference signs
depicted in figure 3 correspond to the same features each having a corresponding reference sign already introduced in figures 1 to 2. The structure 2, in form of the C-ring 20, comprises a support plate 12. The support plate 12 has a substantially round shape. It is also conceivable that the support plate 12 can be of a substantially rectangular or a substantially erratic shape. The support plate 12 comprises a recess 13 for receiving the magnifying device (not shown in figure 3) . Furthermore, the pedestal 5 is inserted in pin manner into a hole 14 of the pedestal holder 15. It is also conceivable that the pedestal 5 is inserted in slide- in manner into a groove (not depicted in figure 3) of the pedestal holder 15.
Figure 4a shows schematically the magnifying lens 60 to be mounted on the watch holder (not shown in figure 4a) according to the present invention. The magnifying lens 60 has a diameter ø! of 50mm to 80mm, preferably the diameter 0I is between 55mm to 60mm. The magnifying lens 60 can be made out of resin or glass for example.
Figure 4b shows a side view of the magnifying lens 60 according to figure 4a. The magnifying lens 60 is a concave lens 600. The rear side 9 of the magnifying lens 60 is metal-coated, e.g. Ag-or Al-coated. The front side 8 of the magnifying lens 60 is transparent. It is also conceivable that the rear side 9 is transparent and that the front side 8 of the magnifying lens 60 is metal-coated, e.g. Ag- or Al-coated .
Figure 5a shows schematically another magnifying lens 60' to be mounted on the watch holder (not shown in figure 5a) according to the present invention. The other magnifying lens 60' has a diameter 02 of 40mm to 80mm, preferably the diameter 2 is between 55mm to 60mm. The other magnifying lens 60' can be made out of resin or glass for example.
Figure 5b shows another side view of the other magnifying lens 60' according to figure 5b. The other magnifying lens 60' is a convex lens 610. Another rear side 9' of the magnifying lens 60' is metal-coated, e.g. Ag-or Al-coated. Another front side 8' of the magnifying lens 60' is transparent. It is also conceivable that the other rear side 9' is transparent and that the other front side 8' of the magnifying lens 60' is metal-coated, e.g. Ag- or Al- coated .
