Abstract
In order to be able to carry out a configuration method quickly and easily using a configuration computer, an editor having a first display area (21) is used which uses the configuration computer to generate an installation schematic (10) of an area of a substation in an electric power supply system, which area is allocated to the power automation appliance, wherein the installation schematic (10) is designed for display using a display device (20) of the configuration computer and comprises primary component representations (13 to 17), which graphically represent primary components (QB1.1, QB1.2, QA1.1, BE1.1, BE1.3) of the allocated area of the substation with their settings, and comprises connection representations between the primary component representations (13 to 17), which graphically represent electrical links between the primary components (QB1.1, QB1.2, QA1.1, BE1.1, BE1.3). The editor has a second display area (22), which uses the configuration computer to generate an interface display image (23) of the power automation appliance, wherein the interface display image (23) is designed for display using the display device (20) of the configuration computer and comprises interface representations (24 to 30) which represent inputs and outputs of the power automation appliances with their functions. Connections (31 to 37) made by the user from the inputs and outputs of the primary component representations (13 to 17) of the primary components (QB1.1, QB1.2, QA1.1, BE1.1, BE1.3) to the represented inputs and outputs of the primary component representations (13 to 17) of the primary components (QB1.1, QB1.2, QA1.1, BE1.1, BE1.3) to the represented inputs and outputs of the interface representation (24 to 30) of the power automation appliance are sensed and a respective parameter set for the sensed connections (31 to 37) is produced and stored in the configuration computer, wherein the parameter sets comprise instructions for configuring the power automation appliance. The invention also relates to a configuration computer.
