Abstract

A wind turbine includes a first plurality of wind turbine blades mounted for rotation about an axis of rotation, each blade of the first plurality of wind turbine blades having a wind blade surface, and a second plurality of wind turbine blades mounted for rotation about the axis of rotation with the first plurality of blades. The second plurality of blades forms blade surface areas radially outward of the blade surface areas of the first plurality of wind turbine blades. Further, each blade of the second plurality of blades may have a varying attack angle along its respective length.
