目前, UE采用周期性更新的方式更新元数据文件, 当元数据文 件的更新周期设置不合理时, 可能会出现 UE 无法正常获取流媒体 服务的问题。 例如: 如图 1 所示, 当元数据文件的更新周期设置过 大时, UE在 t0和 tl 两次更新元数据文件之间丟失了元数据文件 2 所描述的部分媒体呈现信息 (具体为图 1所示的媒体片段 4 ), 使得 UE无法 居 t0和 tl 两次更新获取的元数据文件 1和元数据文件 2 得到正常的流媒体服务。
发明内容
本发明的实施例提供一种元数据文件的更新方法、装置和系统, 能够使用户设备较准确地确定出更新元数据文件的时间, 从而保证 用户能够正常获取流媒体服务。
一方面, 提供了一种元数据文件的更新方法, 包括: 向网络侧 的服务器发送请求媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的消息; 接收所述服 务器根据所述请求媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的消息返回的元数据 文件, 其中, 所述元数据文件包含已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时 间信息; 根据所述已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息确定所述 元数据文件的更新时间; 根据所述更新时间向所述服务器发送更新 所述元数据文件的请求。
另一方面, 提供了一种元数据文件的更新方法, 包括: 生成媒 体呈现对应的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元数据文件包含已描述的部 分媒体呈现的持续时间信息; 如果接收到用户设备发送的请求所述 媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的消息, 向所述用户设备发送所述元数 据文件; 其中, 所述用户设备根据所述已描述的部分媒体呈现的持 续时间信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时间。

为了解决现有技术无法准确确定元数据文件更新时间的问题, 本发明实施例提供一种元数据文件的更新方法、 装置和系统。
如图 2所示, 本发明实施例提供的元数据文件的更新方法, 包括: 步骤 201 , 向网络侧的服务器发送请求媒体呈现对应的元数据文件 的消息;
在本实施例中, 网络侧的服务器可以为流媒体服务器, 也可以为用 于生成和存储元数据文件的文件服务器, 当然, 在实际的使用过程中, 网络侧的服务器还可以为其他与元数据文件有关的服务器,此处不作一 步骤 202 , 接收服务器根据步骤 201发送的请求媒体呈现对应的元 数据文件的消息返回的元数据文件, 其中, 元数据文件包含已描述的部 分媒体呈现的持续时间信息;
在本实施例中,已描述的部分媒体呈现可以为步骤 202接收到的元 数据文件以及在该元数据文件以前接收到的所述媒体呈现对应的元数 据文件所描述过的所有媒体呈现部分;也可以为步骤 202接收到的元数 据文件本身所描述的媒体呈现部分。
在本实施例中,已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息可以用已描 述的部分媒体呈现的截止时间表示;也可以用已描述的部分媒体呈现的 截止时间相对于整个媒体呈现的开始时间的差值表示,或者用已描述的 部分媒体呈现的截止时间相对于步骤 202 接收到的元数据文件的开始 时间的差值表示。 当然, 在实际的使用过程中, 已描述的部分媒体呈现 的持续时间信息还可以采用其他方式表示, 此处不作——贅述。
在本实施例中,当本发明实施例提供的元数据文件的更新方法应用 在第三代合作伙伴计划(3GPP)中的 HTTP流媒体服务( HTTP Streaming ) 协议架构下时, 元数据文件为媒体呈现描述文件 ( Media Presentation Description, MPD ),在其他协议中也可以称为描述文件( manifest file )。
步骤 203 , 根据已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息确定元数据 文件的更新时间;
步骤 204 ,根据步骤 203确定的更新时间向所述服务器发送更新步 骤 202接收的元数据文件的请求。
本发明实施例提供的元数据文件的更新方法,能够根据元数据文件 中包含的已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息,较准确地确定出更新 元数据文件的时间,解决了现有技术采用周期性更新的方式更新元数据 文件, 造成周期设置不合理时用户设备无法正常获取流媒体服务的问 题。
如图 3 所示, 本发明另一实施例还提供一种元数据文件的更新方 法, 包括:
步骤 301 , 生成媒体呈现对应的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元数据文 件包含已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息;
步骤 302 , 如果接收到 UE发送的请求所述媒体呈现对应的元数据 文件的消息, 向 UE发送所述元数据文件; 其中, UE根据已描述的部 分媒体呈现的持续时间信息确定元数据文件的更新时间。
本发明实施例提供的元数据文件的更新方法,在元数据文件中添加 了已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息,使得 UE可以根据已描述的 部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息较准确地确定出更新元数据文件的时 间, 解决了现有技术采用周期性更新的方式更新元数据文件,造成周期 设置不合理时用户设备无法正常获取流媒体服务的问题。
为了使本领域技术人员能够更清楚地理解本发明实施例提供的技 术方案, 下面以本发明实施例应用在 3GPP协议架构下为例, 对本发明 实施例提供的元数据文件的更新方法进行详细说明。
如图 4所示, 本发明又一实施例提供的元数据文件的更新方法, 包 括:
步骤 401 , 服务器生成媒体呈现对应的 MPD, 其中, MPD包含已 描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息。
在本实施例中, 媒体呈现为直播节目, 服务器为该媒体呈现生成两 个以上 MPD , 具体地, 服务器可以以相同的更新时间间隔为媒体呈现 生成两个以上 MPD , 也可以以不同的更新时间间隔为媒体呈现生成两 个以上 MPD。
本实施例以如图 5所示的情况为例进行说明。 如图 5所示, 媒体呈 现包括 10个媒体片段( P1-P10 ), 服务器按照不同的更新时间间隔为所 述媒体呈现生成三个版本的元数据文件( MPD1、 MPD2和 MPD3 ), 当 元数据文件更新时, 后面的 MPD 替代之前的 MPD , 即 MPD(i)替代 MPD(i-l) , i=2或 3。 其中, MPD1用于对 P1-P5进行描述, MPD2用于 对 P5-P7进行描述, MPD3用于对 P7-P10进行描述, MPD1 与 MPD2 之间的更新时间间隔为 Tl( T1为 P1到 Ρ4的持续时间), MPD2与 MPD3 之间的更新时间间隔为 Τ2 ( Τ2为 Ρ5和 Ρ6的持续时间)。
需要说明的是, 为了保证 MPD所描述的媒体片段的连续性, 服务 器在为媒体呈现生成 MPD时, 任意两个相邻的 MPD之间均需要设置 重叠区域 (即重叠时间), 如图 5所示, MPD1和 MPD2的重叠区域为 Wi,u ( Wl 5U为 P5的持续时间区域), MPD2和 MPD3的重叠区域为 W2,u ( W2,u为 P7的持续时间区域);重叠区域所包含的媒体片段可以通过显 示的方式在更新后的 MPD中进行描述, 例如: 如图 5所示, 在 MPD2 中显式地携带 P5的描述信息, 重叠区域所包含的媒体片段也可以通过 隐式的方式在更新后的 MPD中进行描述,例如: 如图 5所示,在 MPD3 中不携带 P7的描述信息, P7的描述信息从 MPD2中获得。
在本实施例中, 已描述的部分媒体呈现可以为服务器生成的当前 MPD以及该 MPD以前的 MPD所描述过的所有媒体呈现部分, 例如: 如图 5所示, 如果 MPD2为服务器当前生成的 MPD , 则已描述的部分 媒体呈现为 P1-P7; 也可以为服务器生成的当前 MPD本身所描述的媒 体呈现部分:例如:如图 5所示,如果 MPD2为月良务器当前生成的 MPD, 则已描述的部分媒体呈现为 P5-P7。
本实施例以已描述的部分媒体呈现为服务器生成的当前 MPD以及 该 MPD以前的 MPD所描述过的所有媒体呈现部分为例进行说明。
在本实施例中,已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息可以采用已 描述的部分媒体呈现的截止时间表示,该已描述的部分媒体呈现的截止 时间可以用世界协调时间 UTC, 或者服务器的时间表示, 例如: 如图 5 所示, MPD1 包含的已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间为 tl 5e, MPD2 包含的已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间为 t2,e, MPD3 包含的已描述 的部分媒体呈现的持续时间为 t3,e
已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间也可以采用已描述的部分媒体 呈现的截止时间相对于整个媒体呈现的开始时间的差值表示, 例如: 如 图 5所示, MPD1 包含的已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间为

需要说明的是,如果采用服务器的时间表示已描述的部分媒体呈现 的截止时间, UE需要预先与服务器之间建立时间同步关系。
进一步地,当已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息采用已描述的 部分媒体呈现的截止时间表示时,该已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间 信息用 endPresentationTimeDescribed 字段表示; 当已描述的部分媒体 呈现的持续时间信息采用已描述的部分媒体呈现的截止时间相对于整 个媒体呈现的开始时间的差值表示时,该已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续 时间信息用 mediaPresentationDurationDescribed字段表示。
进一步地, 当 MPD为媒体呈现对应的最后一个 MPD时, 已描述 的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息也可以用 endTimePresentation 字段表 示。
可选地,为了使 UE能够更准确地确定出 UE更新 MPD的时间, 避免对相同的 MPD 进行重复请求, 造成网络通信资源和服务器信 息处理资源浪费的问题,在本实施例中, MPD还可以包含如下信息: 更新 MPD的时间长度信息和 /或月良务器更新 MPD的更新时间间隔信 息。
其中, 更新 MPD的时间长度信息, 用于指示 UE更新 MPD的 时间长度, 以使得 UE 可以根据该更新 MPD 的时间长度信息确定 MPD的更新时间范围; 月良务器更新 MPD的更新时间间隔信息, 用 于向 UE指示服务器更新 MPD的时间长度, 以使得 UE根据该服务 器更新 MPD的更新时间间隔信息确定 MPD的更新时间范围。
在本实施例中, 服务器可以根据当前 MPD和该当前 MPD相邻 的下一个 MPD之间的重叠时间确定更新 MPD的时间长度信息 , 例 如: 如图 5所示, 服务器可以根据 MPD1与 MPD2之间的重叠区域 Wi,u ( Wi,u为 P5的持续时间区域)设置在 MPD1 中携带的更新 MPD 的时间长度为大于 0 , 且小于或等于 W^u的任意时间长度。
可选地,为了使 UE能够及时判断出接收到的 MPD是否已将整 个媒体呈现描述完整,节省更新 MPD所占用的网络通信资源, MPD 还可以包含指示媒体呈现已描述完整的信息, 该指示媒体呈现已描 述完整的信息用于向 UE指示所述元数据文件已将所述媒体呈现描 述完整, 以使得 UE停止发送更新所述元数据文件的请求。
步骤 402 , 当 UE需要获取媒体呈现对应的 MPD时, UE向服务器 发送请求媒体呈现对应的 MPD的消息。
如图 5所示, UE可以在 tl5 l或者 t 时刻向服务器发送媒体呈现对 应的 MPD的消息。
步骤 403 , 服务器根据接收的请求媒体呈现对应的 MPD的消息, 向 UE发送 MPD。
如图 5所示, 当服务器在 t1 ; 1时刻接收到 UE发送的请求媒体呈现 对应的 MPD的消息时, 服务器向 UE发送 MPD1 ; 当服务器在 t2: 1时刻 接收到 UE发送的请求媒体呈现对应的 MPD的消息时, 服务器向 UE 发送 MPD2。
步骤 404 , UE根据 MPD包含的已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间 信息确定该 MPD的更新时间。 在本实施例中, UE可以根据上一次更新 MPD 的时间和已描述的 部分媒体呈现截止时间以前的时间作为 MPD的更新时间。
进一步地, 如果步骤 403 中服务器向 UE发送的 MPD包含更新当 前 MPD的时间长度信息, UE可以 居更新当前 MPD的时间长度信息 和已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息确定当前 MPD的更新时间范 围; 从当前 MPD的更新时间范围内随机选取当前 MPD的更新时间。
例如:如图 5所示,在 ti 时刻服务器向 UE发送的 MPD为 MPD1 , MPD1 包含已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息和更新 MPD1 的时 间长度信息, 其中, 已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息采用已描 述的部分媒体呈现的截止时间表示, 该已描述的部分媒体呈现的截止 时间为 ti ,e,更新 MPD1的时间长度信息为 W^u为 P5的持续时间 ), 在步骤 404 中, UE 可以根据已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息 ( ti,e ) 和更新 MPD1 的时间长度信息 (WLU ) 确定 MPD1 的更新时间 范围为([t^-W^, ti ,e]) , UE可以从 (tLe-W u, t^])中随机选取一个时间 点作为 MPD 1的更新时间。
或者, 如果步骤 403 中服务器向 UE发送的 MPD包含该服务器更 新当前 MPD的更新时间间隔信息, UE可以 居月良务器更新当前 MPD 的更新时间间隔信息以及接收当前 MPD的时间确定当前 MPD的预测 更新时间; 根据当前 MPD的预测更新时间和已描述的部分媒体呈现的 持续时间信息确定当前 MPD的更新时间范围; 从当前 MPD的更新时 间范围内随机选取当前 MPD的更新时间。
例如:如图 5所示,在 ti 时刻服务器向 UE发送的 MPD为 MPD1 , MPD1 包含已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息和服务器更新 MPD1的更新时间间隔信息, 其中, 已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间 信息采用已描述的部分媒体呈现的截止时间表示, 该已描述的部分媒 体呈现的截止时间为 t ,服务器更新 MPD1的更新时间间隔信息为 T1
( T1=P1至 P4的持续时间), 在步骤 404中, UE可以根据服务器更新 MPD1的更新时间间隔信息( T1 ) 以及 UE接收 MPD1的时间 ( t1: 1 )确 定 MPD1 的预测更新时间 ( tw^u+Tl ), 才艮据 MPDl 的预测更新时间
( t1 2=ti !+Tl ) 和已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息 ( tl e ) 确定 MPD1 的更新时间范围为 ,2 , ti,e) , UE可以从 ,2 , t^)中随机选取一 个时间点作为 MPD 1的更新时间。
进一步地, 如果通过上述方法获取的当前 MPD的预测更新时间大 于当前 MPD已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间,UE从预先设置的 MPD 的更新时间范围内随机选取一个时间点作为当前 MPD的更新时间 , 其 中, 预先设置的 MPD的更新时间范围在当前 MPD 已描述的部分媒体 呈现的持续时间内。
例如:如图 5所示,在 t2 1时刻服务器向 UE发送的 MPD为 MPD2 , MPD2 包含已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息和服务器更新 MPD2的更新时间间隔信息, 其中, 已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间 信息采用已描述的部分媒体呈现的截止时间表示, 该已描述的部分媒 体呈现的截止时间为 t2,e,服务器更新 MPD2的更新时间间隔信息为 T2 ( T2=P5和 P6的持续时间), 在步骤 404中, UE可以根据服务器更新 MPD2的更新时间间隔信息 ( Τ2 ) 以及 UE接收 MPD2的时间 ( t2 1 )确 定 MPD2的预测更新时间 (t2,2= t2,!+T2 ), 此时 t2,2>t2,e, UE从预先设 置的 MPD2 的更新时间范围 ( [t2,x, t2,e] ) 内随机选取一个时间点作为 MPD2的更新时间。
当然, 在实际的使用过程中, UE还可以根据 MPD 包含的已描述 的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息, 通过其他方法确定该 MPD的更新时 间, 此处不对每种情况进行——贅述。

在本实施例 中 , 指示媒体呈现已描述完整的信息可以用 endTimePresentation字段表示,该 endTimePresentation字段用于记录整 个媒体呈现的持续时间;指示媒体呈现已描述完整的信息也可以用一个 标志位表示, 当然, 在实际的使用过程中, 指示媒体呈现已描述完整的 信息还可以通过其他方式表示, 此处不对每种情况进行——贅述。
第二种, UE判断是否接收到服务器发送的指示媒体呈现已描述完 整的消息, 如果 UE接收到服务器发送的指示媒体呈现已描述完整的消 息, 则 UE判断媒体呈现已描述完整, 否则, 媒体呈现未描述完整。

为了解决现有技术无法准确确定元数据文件更新时间的问题,本发 明实施例还提供一种元数据文件的更新方法、 装置和系统。 如图 12所示, 本发明实施例提供的元数据文件的更新方法, 包括: 步骤 1201 , 向网络侧的服务器发送请求媒体呈现对应的元数据文 件的消息;
在本实施例中,当本发明实施例提供的元数据文件的更新方法应用 在 3GPP中的 HTTP Streaming协议架构下时, 元数据文件为媒体呈现 描述文件 ( Media Presentation Description, MPD ), 在其他协议中也可 以称为描述文件 ( manifest file )。
步骤 1202 , 接收服务器根据请求媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的消 息返回的元数据文件, 其中, 元数据文件包含服务器更新该元数据文件 的时间信息和指示 UE更新该元数据文件的时间长度信息;
步骤 1203 , 根据服务器更新该元数据文件的时间信息和指示 UE 更新所述元数据文件的时间长度信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时间 范围;
步骤 1204 , 从步骤 1203获取的元数据文件的更新时间范围内选取 元数据文件的更新时间;
步骤 1205 , 根据步骤 1204选取的更新时间向服务器发送更新所述 元数据文件的请求。

在本实施例中,更新元数据文件的参考时间信息可以为服务器更新 所述元数据文件的时间信息,可以为已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间 信息。
进一步地,当更新元数据文件的参考时间信息为已描述的部分媒体 呈现的持续时间信息时,已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息可以为 服务器生成的当前元数据文件以及该当前元数据文件以前的元数据文 件所描述过的所有媒体呈现部分;也可以为服务器生成的当前元数据文 件本身所描述的媒体呈现部分。
进一步地,当更新元数据文件的参考时间信息为已描述的部分媒体 呈现的持续时间信息时,已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息可以采 用已描述的部分媒体呈现的截止时间表示, 其中, 该已描述的部分媒体 呈现的截止时间可以用世界协调时间 UTC, 或者服务器的时间表示; 已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间也可以采用已描述的部分媒体呈现 的截止时间相对于整个媒体呈现的开始时间的差值表示,或者用已描述 的部分媒体呈现的截止时间相对于服务器生成当前元数据文件的开始 时间的差值表示。 当然, 在实际的使用过程中, 已描述的部分媒体呈现 的持续时间信息还可以采用其他方式表示, 此处不作——贅述。
需要说明的是,如果采用服务器的时间表示已描述的部分媒体呈现 的截止时间, UE需要预先与服务器之间建立时间同步关系。
进一步地,当已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息采用已描述的 部分媒体呈现的截止时间表示时,该已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间 信息用 endPresentationTimeDescribed 字段表示; 当已描述的部分媒体 呈现的持续时间信息采用已描述的部分媒体呈现的截止时间相对于整 个媒体呈现的开始时间的差值表示时,该已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续 时间信息用 mediaPresentationDurationDescribed字段表示。
进一步地, 当元数据文件为媒体呈现对应的最后一个元数据文件 时 , 已 描 述 的 部 分媒体呈 现 的 持续 时 间 信 息 也可 以 用 endTimePresentation字段表示。
可选地,当更新元数据文件的参考时间信息为已描述的部分媒体呈 现的持续时间信息时,为了使 UE能够及时判断出接收到的元数据文件 是否已将整个媒体呈现描述完整, 节省更新元数据文件所占用的网络 通信资源, 元数据文件还可以包含指示媒体呈现已描述完整的信息, 该指示媒体呈现已描述完整的信息用于向 UE 指示所述元数据文件已 将所述媒体呈现描述完整,以使得 UE停止发送更新所述元数据文件的 请求。
在本实施例中, 服务器可以根据当前元数据文件和该当前元数 据文件相邻的下一个元数据文件之间的重叠时间确定指示 UE 更新 元数据文件的时间长度信息, 该指示 UE 更新元数据文件的时间长 度信息大于 0且小于等于当前元数据文件和该当前元数据文件相邻 的下一个元数据文件之间的重叠时间。
步骤 1402 , 当 UE需要获取媒体呈现对应的元数据文件时, UE向 服务器发送请求媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的消息。
步骤 1403 , 服务器根据接收的请求媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的 消息, 向 UE发送元数据文件。

当更新元数据文件的参考时间信息为已描述的部分媒体呈现的持 续时间信息,且已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息采用已描述的部 分媒体呈现的截止时间表示时, UE根据该服务器更新所述元数据文件 的时间信息和指示 UE 更新元数据文件的时间长度信息确定的元数据 文件的更新时间范围为: 已描述的部分媒体呈现的截止时间 -UE更新元 数据文件的时间长度至已描述的部分媒体呈现的截止时间。

本发明实施例提供的用户设备,可以根据元数据文件中包含的服务 器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示 UE更新所述元数据文件的时 间长度信息较准确地确定出更新元数据文件的时间,解决了现有技术采 用周期性更新的方式更新元数据文件, 当周期设置不合理时, 用户设备 无法正常获取流媒体服务的问题。
本发明实施例还提供一种服务器, 包括:
生成模块, 用于生成媒体呈现对应的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元数 据文件包含服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用户设备更 新所述元数据文件的时间长度信息;
发送模块,用于如果接收到用户设备发送的请求所述媒体呈现对应 的元数据文件的消息, 向所述用户设备发送所述元数据文件; 其中, 所 述用户设备根据服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用户设 备更新所述元数据文件的时间长度信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时 间。
本发明实施例提供的服务器的具体实现方法可以参见如图 12-14 所示的本发明实施例提供的元数据文件的更新方法处相关描述,此处不 再赘述。
需要说明的是, 在实际的使用过程中, 本发明实施例提供的服务器 划分的多个模块,也可以通过一个与所述多个模块具有类似功能的模块 或者功能单元实现, 此处不作贅述。
本发明实施例提供的服务器,在元数据文件中添加了服务器更新所 述元数据文件的时间信息和指示 UE更新所述元数据文件的时间长度信 息, 使得 UE 可以根据服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示 UE更新所述元数据文件的时间长度信息较准确地确定出更新元数据文 件的时间, 解决了现有技术采用周期性更新的方式更新元数据文件, 当 周期设置不合理时, 用户设备无法正常获取流媒体服务的问题。
本发明实施例还提供一种通信系统, 包括:
服务器, 用于生成媒体呈现对应的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元数据 文件包含服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用户设备更新 所述元数据文件的时间长度信息,如果接收到用户设备发送的请求所述 媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的消息,向所述用户设备发送所述元数据文 件;
所述用户设备,用于向所述服务器发送请求媒体呈现对应的元数据 文件的消息, 接收所述服务器返回的元数据文件, 根据所述元数据文件 包含的服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用户设备更新所 述元数据文件的时间长度信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时间范围,从 所述元数据文件的更新时间范围内选取元数据文件的更新时间,根据所 述更新时间向所述服务器发送更新所述元数据文件的请求。
本发明实施例提供的通信系统的具体实现方法可以参见如图 12-14 所示的本发明实施例提供的元数据文件的更新方法所述, 此处不再贅 述。
本发明实施例提供的通信系统,服务器在元数据文件中添加了服务 器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示 UE更新所述元数据文件的时 间长度信息, UE可以根据服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指 示 UE更新所述元数据文件的时间长度信息较准确地确定出更新元数据 文件的时间, 解决了现有技术采用周期性更新的方式更新元数据文件, 当周期设置不合理时, 用户设备无法正常获取流媒体服务的问题。
本发明实施例提供的元数据文件的更新方法、装置和系统可以应用 在基于 HTTP的流媒体服务系统中。
结合本文中所公开的实施例描述的方法或算法的步骤可以直接用硬 件、 处理器执行的软件模块, 或者二者的结合来实施。 软件模块可以置于 随机存储器 (RAM )、 内存、 只读存储器 (ROM )、 电可编程 ROM、 电可 擦除可编程 ROM、 寄存器、 硬盘、 可移动磁盘、 CD-ROM、 或技术领域内 所公知的任意其它形式的存储介质中。 以上所述, 仅为本发明的具体实施方式, 但本发明的保护范围并不 局限于此, 任何熟悉本技术领域的技术人员在本发明揭露的技术范围 内,可轻易想到变化或替换,都应涵盖在本发明的保护范围之内。 因此, 本发明的保护范围应所述以权利要求的保护范围为准。

Claims

权利 要求 书
1、 一种元数据文件的更新方法, 其特征在于, 包括:
向网络侧的服务器发送请求媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的消息; 接收所述服务器根据所述请求媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的消 息返回的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元数据文件包含已描述的部分媒体 呈现的持续时间信息;
根据所述已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息确定所述元数 据文件的更新时间;
根据所述更新时间向所述服务器发送更新所述元数据文件的请 求。
2、 根据权利要求 1 所述的方法, 其特征在于, 所述根据所述已 描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时 间包括:
从所述元数据文件中获得更新元数据文件的时间长度信息, 根据 所述更新元数据文件的时间长度信息和所述已描述的部分媒体呈现 的持续时间信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时间范围;
从所述元数据文件的更新时间范围内选取元数据文件的更新时 间。
3、 根据权利要求 1 所述的方法, 其特征在于, 所述根据所述已 描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时 间包括:
从所述元数据文件中获得所述服务器更新元数据文件的更新时 间间隔信息, 根据所述服务器更新元数据文件的更新时间间隔信息以 及当前接收所述元数据文件的时间确定所述元数据文件的预测更新 时间;
根据所述元数据文件的预测更新时间和所述已描述的部分媒体 呈现的持续时间信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时间范围;
从所述元数据文件的更新时间范围内选取元数据文件的更新时 间。
4、 根据权利要求 3 所述的方法, 其特征在于, 所述根据所述已 描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时 间还包括:
如果所述元数据文件的预测更新时间大于所述已描述的部分媒 体呈现的持续时间, 从预先设置的元数据文件的更新时间范围内选取 元数据文件的更新时间, 其中, 所述预先设置的元数据文件的更新时 间范围在所述已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间内。
5、 根据权利要求 1所述的方法, 其特征在于, 还包括:
如果所述元数据文件已将所述媒体呈现描述完整, 停止向所述服 务器发送更新所述元数据文件的请求。
6、 根据权利要求 5 所述的方法, 其特征在于, 所述判断所述元 数据文件是否已将所述媒体呈现描述完整包括:
如果所述元数据文件包含指示所述媒体呈现已描述完整的信息, 则判断所述元数据文件已将所述媒体呈现描述完整。
7、 根据权利要求 1 -6中任意一项所述的方法, 其特征在于, 还包 括:
根据所述已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息生成所述已描 述的部分媒体呈现对应的媒体片段列表;
获取所述媒体片段列表中的媒体片段。
8、 一种元数据文件的更新方法, 其特征在于, 包括:
生成媒体呈现对应的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元数据文件包含已 描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息;
如果接收到用户设备发送的请求所述媒体呈现对应的元数据文 件的消息, 向所述用户设备发送所述元数据文件; 其中, 所述用户设 备根据所述已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息确定所述元数据 文件的更新时间。
9、 根据权利要求 8 所述的方法, 其特征在于, 所述元数据文件 还包含以下任意一种或者组合的信息: 更新元数据文件的时间长度信息, 用于指示所述用户设备更新所 述元数据文件的时间长度, 以使得所述用户设备根据该更新元数据文 件的时间长度信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时间范围;
服务器更新元数据文件的更新时间间隔信息, 用于向所述用户设 备指示服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间长度, 以使得所述用户设备 根据该服务器更新元数据文件的更新时间间隔信息确定所述元数据 文件的更新时间范围;
指示所述媒体呈现已描述完整的信息, 用于向所述用户设备指示 所述元数据文件已将所述媒体呈现描述完整, 以使得所述用户设备停 止发送更新所述元数据文件的请求;
其中, 所述更新元数据文件的时间长度根据所述元数据文件和该 元数据文件相邻的下一个元数据文件之间的重叠时间确定。
10、 一种用户设备, 其特征在于, 包括:
发送模块, 用于向网络侧的服务器发送请求媒体呈现对应的元数 据文件的消息;
接收模块, 用于接收所述服务器根据所述请求媒体呈现对应的元 数据文件的消息返回的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元数据文件包含已描 述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息;
确定模块, 用于根据所述接收模块接收的元数据文件包含的已描 述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息, 确定所述元数据文件的更新时 间;
更新模块, 用于根据所述确定模块确定的更新时间向所述服务器 发送更新所述元数据文件的请求。
11、 根据权利要求 10所述的用户设备, 其特征在于, 所述确定模 块包括:
第一确定子模块, 用于从所述接收模块接收到的元数据文件中获 得更新元数据文件的时间长度信息, 根据所述更新元数据文件的时间 长度信息和所述已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息确定所述元 数据文件的更新时间范围;
第一选取子模块, 用于从所述第一确定子模块确定的元数据文件 的更新时间范围内选取元数据文件的更新时间。
12、 根据权利要求 10 所述的用户设备, 其特征在于, 所述确定 模块包括:
第二确定子模块, 用于从所述接收模块接收到的元数据文件中获 得所述服务器更新元数据文件的更新时间间隔信息, 根据所述服务器 更新元数据文件的更新时间间隔信息以及当前接收所述元数据文件 的时间确定所述元数据文件的预测更新时间;
第三确定子模块, 用于根据所述第二确定子模块确定的元数据文 件的预测更新时间和所述已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信 , ¾确 定所述元数据文件的更新时间范围;
第二获取子模块, 用于从所述第三确定子模块确定的元数据文件 的更新时间范围内选取元数据文件的更新时间。
13、 根据权利要求 12 所述的用户设备, 其特征在于, 所述确定 模块还包括:
第三选取子模块, 用于如果所述第二确定子模块确定的元数据文 件的预测更新时间大于所述已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间, 从预 先设置的元数据文件的更新时间范围内选取元数据文件的更新时间, 其中, 所述预先设置的元数据文件的更新时间范围在所述已描述的部 分媒体呈现的持续时间内。
14、 根据权利要求 10所述的用户设备, 其特征在于, 还包括: 判断模块, 用于判断所述接收模块接收的元数据文件是否已将所 述媒体呈现描述完整;
控制模块, 用于如果所述判断模块判断出所述元数据文件已将所 述媒体呈现描述完整, 控制所述更新模块停止向所述服务器发送更新 所述元数据文件的请求。
15、 根据权利要求 14 所述的用户设备, 其特征在于, 所述判断 模块进一步用于如果所述元数据文件包含指示所述媒体呈现已描述 完整的信息, 则判断所述元数据文件已将所述媒体呈现描述完整。
16、 根据权利要求 10- 15所述的用户设备, 其特征在于, 还包括: 生成模块, 用于根据所述已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息 生成所述已描述的部分媒体呈现对应的媒体片段列表;
获取模块, 用于获取所述生成模块生成的媒体片段列表中的媒体 片段。
17、 一种服务器, 其特征在于, 包括:
生成模块, 用于生成媒体呈现对应的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元 数据文件包含已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息;
发送模块, 用于如果接收到用户设备发送的请求所述媒体呈现对 应的元数据文件的消息, 向所述用户设备发送所述生成模块生成的元 数据文件; 其中, 所述用户设备根据所述已描述的部分媒体呈现的持 续时间信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时间。
18、 一种通信系统, 其特征在于, 包括:
服务器, 用于生成媒体呈现对应的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元数 据文件包含已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息, 如果接收到用户 设备发送的请求所述媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的消息, 向所述用户 设备发送所述元数据文件;
所述用户设备, 用于向所述服务器发送请求媒体呈现对应的元数 据文件的消息, 接收所述服务器返回的元数据文件, 根据所述元数据 文件包含的已描述的部分媒体呈现的持续时间信息确定所述元数据 文件的更新时间, 根据所述更新时间向所述服务器发送更新所述元数 据文件的请求。
19、 一种元数据文件的更新方法, 其特征在于, 包括:
向网络侧的服务器发送请求媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的消息; 接收所述服务器根据所述请求媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的消 息返回的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元数据文件包含所述服务器更新所 述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用户设备更新所述元数据文件的时 间长度信息;
根据所述服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用户设 备更新所述元数据文件的时间长度信息确定所述元数据文件的更新 时间范围;
从所述元数据文件的更新时间范围内选取元数据文件的更新时 间;
根据所述更新时间向所述服务器发送更新所述元数据文件的请 求。
20、 一种元数据文件的更新方法, 其特征在于, 包括:
生成媒体呈现对应的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元数据文件包含服 务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用户设备更新所述元数 据文件的时间长度信息;
如果接收到用户设备发送的请求所述媒体呈现对应的元数据文 件的消息, 向所述用户设备发送所述元数据文件; 其中, 所述用户设 备根据服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用户设备更新 所述元数据文件的时间长度信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时间。
21、 一种用户设备, 其特征在于, 包括:
发送模块, 用于向网络侧的服务器发送请求媒体呈现对应的元数 据文件的消息;
接收模块, 用于接收所述服务器根据所述请求媒体呈现对应的元 数据文件的消息返回的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元数据文件包含所述 服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用户设备更新所述元 数据文件的时间长度信息;
确定模块, 用于根据所述服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息 和指示用户设备更新所述元数据文件的时间长度信息确定所述元数 据文件的更新时间范围;
选取模块, 用于从所述确定模块确定的元数据文件的更新时间范 围内选取元数据文件的更新时间;
更新模块, 用于根据所述选取模块选取的更新时间向所述服务器 发送更新所述元数据文件的请求。
22、 一种服务器, 其特征在于, 包括:
生成模块, 用于生成媒体呈现对应的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元 数据文件包含服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用户设 备更新所述元数据文件的时间长度信息;
发送模块, 用于如果接收到用户设备发送的请求所述媒体呈现对 应的元数据文件的消息, 向所述用户设备发送所述元数据文件; 其中, 所述用户设备根据服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用 户设备更新所述元数据文件的时间长度信息确定所述元数据文件的 更新时间。
23、 一种通信系统, 其特征在于, 包括:
服务器, 用于生成媒体呈现对应的元数据文件, 其中, 所述元数 据文件包含服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用户设备 更新所述元数据文件的时间长度信息, 如果接收到用户设备发送的请 求所述媒体呈现对应的元数据文件的消息, 向所述用户设备发送所述 元数据文件;
所述用户设备, 用于向所述服务器发送请求媒体呈现对应的元数据文件 的消息, 接收所述服务器返回的元数据文件, 根据所述元数据文件包含 的服务器更新所述元数据文件的时间信息和指示用户设备更新所述元数 据文件的时间长度信息确定所述元数据文件的更新时间范围, 从所述元 数据文件的更新时间范围内选取元数据文件的更新时间, 根据所述更新 时间向所述服务器发送更新所述元数据文件的请求。
