Abstract

A chair of the present invention has a movable back which can support the back of a user even when the user bends his/her body forward or moves his hip forward on a chair seat. The chair uses a brake piece for reliably fixing the back of the chair, and the brake piece operates with small force at a predetermined point. The chair has left and right brake devices for preventing the back of the chair from being distorted and a connector for interlocking the left and right brakes through a single operation. The height and tilt of the movable back of the chair are adjustable in accordance with the body type and body position of the user. The chair has an elastic element for pulling the back of the chair forward so as to easily move the back of the chair. The chair has an additional back for supporting the back, upper portion and head of the user when the user bends his/her body backward to take a rest. The chair seat is tiltable to prevent the body of the user from sliding on the chair seat and provide the user with comfort. The chair of the present invention has springs for each tilt of the chair seat so that the chair seat operates smoothly and has a reliable brake device for fixing the chair seat at a tilted state.
