Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de sélectionner une cellule à conserver au sein d'un réseau cellulaire. Il est possible de rechercher, au moyen d'une première technologie d'accès radio à fréquences multiples (RAT), des informations de sélection de cellule stockées dans une unité d'émission/réception sans fil (WTRU) basée sur une RAT. Si aucune information de sélection de cellule n'est trouvée, ou si aucune cellule appropriée pouvant être conservée par la WTRU n'a été trouvée grâce à une procédure de sélection de cellule par informations stockées basée sur la première RAT, une procédure de sélection de cellule assistée ou une procédure de sélection de cellule par informations coopératives peut être mise en œuvre au moyen d'une seconde RAT. Si aucune cellule appropriée pouvant être conservée par la WTRU n'a été trouvée grâce à la procédure de sélection de cellule assistée ou à la procédure de sélection de cellule par informations coopératives, une procédure de sélection de cellule initiale peut être mise en œuvre au moyen de la première RAT.
