Definitions
- the present invention relates to wireless network communications, and more particularly to a method and apparatus for timing advancement in base stations and user terminals in a carrier aggregation wireless network. Background technique
- LTE Long Term Evolution
- UEs user terminals
- the signals are received synchronously at the base station, that is, the signals of the user terminals need to arrive at the base station at the same time.
- the specific implementation is to ensure that the time error of the data of different user terminals transmitted in the same uplink subframe arrives at the base station in the Cyclic Prefix (CP) range. within. Since the distances of the user terminals from the base station are different, the transmission time of each user terminal needs to be adjusted.
- CP Cyclic Prefix
- Timing Alignment The user terminal with a large channel transmission delay is sent earlier, and the user terminal with a small channel transmission delay is sent later. This operation is called Timing Alignment. Specifically, the base station sends an uplink timing advance (TA) to each user terminal, and the user terminal determines, according to the received TA, the start time of transmitting the subsequent uplink subframe.
- TA uplink timing advance
- the user terminal is configured with only one carrier resource of no more than 20M, and the resources used by all user terminals of the system or the scheduled resources are limited to only one carrier of the LTE system.
- carrier aggregation is supported, including continuous carrier aggregation and discontinuous carrier aggregation between in-band and inter-band, and the maximum energy aggregation bandwidth can reach 100 MHz. Therefore, for a certain user terminal, one to five component carriers can be configured, and the resources used by the user terminal or the scheduled resources can also be dispersed on one to five component carriers. This increases the data transmission bandwidth and scheduling flexibility, but there is still no technical solution for improved timing advance on the user terminal side for the carrier aggregation feature of the LTE-A system.
- the transmission of the user terminal is scheduled by one or more component carriers, because the transmission delays of different uplink component carriers may be different, thus causing the same user terminal to be in the carrier aggregation scenario.
- the present invention proposes a method and apparatus for implementing timing advance in a base station and a user terminal in a wireless network in an application scenario suitable for carrier aggregation.
- a method for timing advance in a user terminal of a carrier aggregation wireless network where at least one downlink component carrier and at least one uplink component carrier, at least one downlink component are configured in the wireless network
- the carrier includes a downlink primary component carrier, and all activated uplink component carriers in the at least one uplink component carrier share a timer and a timing advance value, and the method includes the following steps:
- timing advance indication signaling by using one of all activated downlink component carriers in at least one downlink component carrier, the timing advance indication signaling includes timing advance information; updating timing advance value according to timing advance information, and starting/restarting The timer, and determining an uplink transmission time of the user terminal based on the determined downlink reference component carrier and the updated timing advance value.
- a method for timing advance in a base station of a wireless network wherein at least one downlink component carrier and at least one uplink component carrier, at least one downlink component carrier are configured in the wireless network
- the method includes a downlink primary component carrier, and all activated uplink component carriers in the at least one uplink component carrier share a timer and a timing advance value, and the method includes the following steps:
- the one of the activated downlink component carriers is sent with timing advance indication signaling, and the timing advance indication signaling includes the timing advance information.
- a device for timing advance in a user terminal of a wireless network where at least one downlink component carrier and at least one uplink component carrier are configured in the wireless network, at least one uplink component carrier All activated upstream points
- the quantity carrier shares a timer and a certain time advance value.
- the device includes:
- an indication signaling receiving module configured to receive, by using one of the at least one downlink component carrier, a timing advance indication signaling, where the timing advance indication signaling includes a certain time advance information
- timing advance start module configured to update the timing advance value according to timing advance information in the timing advance indication signaling, and start/restart the timer
- An uplink transmission time determining module configured to determine an uplink transmission time of the user terminal based on the determined downlink reference component carrier and the updated timing advance value.
- apparatus for timing advance in a base station of a wireless network wherein the wireless network is configured with at least one downlink component carrier and at least one uplink component carrier, at least one uplink component carrier All activated uplink component carriers share a timer and a certain time advance value, and the device includes:
- timing advance value determining module that determines a timing advance information based on the determined downlink reference component carrier
- an indication signaling sending module configured to send timing advance indication signaling by using one of the at least one downlink component carrier, wherein the timing advance indication signaling includes the timing advance information.
- the present invention proposes that because the transmission delays of different downlink component carriers may be different, the data transmitted by the same user terminal in the uplink subframe in the carrier aggregation scenario may not be able to reach the base station synchronously within the system cyclic prefix CP range.
- the present invention provides a method and apparatus for implementing timing advance in a base station and a user terminal in a wireless network in an application scenario applicable to carrier aggregation, for determining a downlink reference component carrier on both sides of a base station and a user terminal, respectively.
- the base station determines the timing advance value for the user terminal, and when the user terminal determines the uplink transmission time, the transmission delay of the downlink reference component carrier on which the base station and the user terminal are respectively based is the same, and therefore, the user terminal can be in the same
- the uplink transmission time point is correctly determined according to the timing advance value determined by the base station, so that the timing advance of the user terminal is correctly completed in the carrier aggregation scenario. If the transmission delays of all the activated uplink component carriers are substantially the same, the uplink transmission is performed at the determined uplink transmission time point, and the uplink transmission may be performed. All data in the transmitted uplink subframe arrives at the base station side synchronously within the cyclic prefix (CP) range of the base station side.

- the activated component carriers are located on different frequency bands or on discontinuous frequencies with large frequency offsets, or because some frequencies are forwarded by the repeater, while others are at the base station and the user terminal. Direct transmission, these conditions cause a large difference in transmission delay between the downlink component carriers CCD1, CCD2, and CCD3.
- the difference between the transmission delays of the downlink component carriers CCD1, CCD2 is numerically greater than a predetermined value, such as the cyclic prefix CP.
- the base station 12 performs step S301: determining timing advance information based on the determined downlink reference component carrier of the base station 12.
- the downlink primary component carrier CCD3 is configured as a downlink reference component carrier by default when the system is started, and the determination information of the downlink reference component carrier CCD3 is explicitly notified to the user terminal 11 in the form of indication signaling, or implicitly Notifying the user terminal 11:

- the difference between the transmission delays of the downlink component carriers CCD1, CCD2, and the specific values thereof do not constitute a limitation of the present invention.
- the base station 12 performs step S302 to send timing advance indication signaling TA_Signing through the downlink component carrier CCD2, and the timing advance indication signaling includes timing advance information determined by the base station 12 in step S301.

- the user terminal 11 transmits the data of the uplink subframe at the above-mentioned time point T P1 + t-2TA, for example, transmits DATA1 on the CCU1 and simultaneously transmits DATA2 on the CCU2, since the channel condition of all the activated uplink component carriers of the system is very Proximity, therefore, DATA1 and DATA2 described above can be received by base station 12 in synchronization.
- twice the timing advance value TA value or other values are used to compensate the uplink transmission time point of TP1+t in advance, which is not enough to limit the present invention, and the user terminal 11 adjusts the uplink by compensation.
