Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus for increasing an engine output, which prevents the oil pressure of an oil pump, which pumps and delivers the oil contained in an oil pan of a vehicle, from excessively rising and thus prevents a large load from occurring in an engine that drives the oil pump, thereby increasing an engine output. The key technical features of the present invention are that the apparatus for increasing an engine output comprises: a branch port (10) formed at one side of an oil pump (2); a branch hose (20) for interconnecting the branch port (10) and a cylinder block (3); an oil-refining device (30) arranged at the branch hose (20); and a pressure-regulating nozzle (40) and a relief valve (4) arranged at the branch port (10) to regulate the pressure of oil, wherein the pressure-regulating nozzle (40) and the relief valve (4) are set to maintain the pressure of the oil being delivered through the oil pump (2) at the level of 1 to 3 bar when the oil is cold, and at the level of 0.8 to 3 bar when the oil is hot. Thus, the apparatus of the present invention prevents the pressure of the oil from excessively rising and thus prevents a large load from occurring in the engine that drives the oil pump, thereby preventing an engine output from decreasing. The apparatus of the present invention enables smooth oil supply so as to reduce noise from mechanical friction in operating portions of the engine, and prevents oil from being carbonized so as to lengthen the lifespan of the oil.
