Abstract
본 발명은 자기 헤드 슬라이더용 기판 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 더욱, 상세하게는, 레이저 등의 광원이 통과할 수 있는 광도파로를 가지는 자기 헤드 슬라이더용 기판 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의하면, 자기 헤드 슬라이더용 기판에 있어서, 제1면과 상기 제1면과 나란한 제2면을 구비하며, 상기 제1면과 제2면을 관통하는 관통 홀이 형성된 기판; 및 상기 관통 홀에 형성되는 광도파로(optical waveguide)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자기 헤드 슬라이더용 기판이 제공된다. 본 발명에 따른 자기 헤드 슬라이더용 기판은 레이저 광원 등에 의한 빛 에너지를 기판에 형성된 광도파로를 통해서 자기 디스크에 전달할 수 있다. 따라서 본 발명에 따른 자기 헤드 슬라이더용 기판을 사용하면, 레이저 광원 등을 자기 헤드 슬라이더에 조사하여 자기 디스크 표면을 가열함으로써 하드디스크의 기록 밀도, 및 자료의 기록 및 재생 속도를 향상시킬 수 있다.
