Abstract
According to one embodiment of the present invention, a broadcast signal transmitter comprises: an FEC encoder which performs FEC encoding on data; a demultiplexer which reorders the bit order of the FEC-encoded data; a divider which reorders the reordered bits in accordance with the QAM types of a first input signal and of a second input signal so as to output the first input signal and the second input signal; a first symbol mapper and a second symbol mapper which perform symbol mapping on the first input signal and on the second input signal to generate M-QAM-type signals, respectively; a MIMO encoder which performs MIMO encoding processing on the first input signal and on the second input signal to output a first M*M-QAM-type transmission signal and a second M*M-QAM-type transmission signal; and a first OFDM generator and a second OFDM generator which perform OFDM modulation on the first transmission signal and on the second transmission signal, respectively.
