Abstract

La présente invention porte sur un système (1) et sur un procédé de pliage d'une partie extérieure (72), en particulier un rabat, une oreille, une ceinture ou un élément de fixation, d'un article absorbant (7), en particulier une couche-culotte, un produit pour incontinence, un produit hygiénique féminin ou analogue, vers la partie centrale (70) de l'article absorbant, en particulier vers le châssis central de l'article absorbant. Le système comprend : un transporteur principal (2) destiné à déplacer l'article absorbant dans une direction de transport (X), de telle sorte que la partie extérieure de l'article absorbant s'étende dans une direction perpendiculaire à la direction de transport, le système étant caractérisé par au moins un transporteur de pliage (3) pouvant se déplacer sensiblement dans la direction de transport du transporteur principal, le transporteur de pliage étant muni de moyens de maintien (4) destinés à maintenir la partie extérieure de l'article absorbant, les moyens de maintien étant conçus pour être guidés selon une certaine trajectoire pour le pliage de la partie extérieure de l'article absorbant vers sa partie centrale.
