Abstract

The present invention relates to the purification of a carbon dioxide (CO2) rich stream that comprises primarily CO2 and hydrogen (H2). In particular, the present invention relates to the purification of a CO2 rich stream that comprises at least 90 mol% of CO2 and less than 10 mol% of H2 to obtain a CO2 stream of sufficient purity for CO2 sequestration e.g. storage in the underground strata; and/or use in a wide range of other applications, e.g. in the food, chemical and oil and/or the gas industry.
