Abstract

The invention relates to a method for diagnosing a multi-channel microcontroller comprising a pulse width modulation control unit, which carries out the pulse width modulation in a centre-oriented mode, output drivers assigned to respective channels for actuating a load associated with the respective channel according to the particular pulse width modulation phase, and an AC/DC converter system, in which the diagnosis for each channel is carried out in the middle of the centre-oriented pulse width modulation phases by the AC/DC converter system. The invention also relates to a control system for carrying out the method and to a microcontroller comprising such a control system.
