Abstract

The animal toy 10 includes an elongated body 12 having a first weighted portion 14 and a second portion 16 extending therefrom. The second portion 16 is manufactured from a material which has a specific gravity less than water so as to render the toy 10 buoyant. The ratio of the lengths of the first and second portions 14 and 16 is between 1:2 and 1:4, preferably about 1:3. The first portion 14 is manufactured from a material having a greater specific gravity than the material from which the second portion 16 is manufactured, thereby being weighted relative to the second portion 16.
