Abstract

본 발명은 방송 서비스 처리 방법 및 장치를 제공한다. 본 발명에 따른 방송 서비스를 처리 방법의 일 예는, 튜닝된 주파수 대역에 할당된 피지컬 채널을 통해 전송 스트림 내 전송되는 가상 채널들을 위한 속성들의 리스트를 포함한 가상 채널 테이블(VCT)을 수신하는 단계; 상가 가상 채널 테이블 내 상기 피지컬 채널이 다수의 방송사에 의해 공유된 피지컬 채널임을 지시하는 디스크립터(shared frequency descriptor)로부터 상기 공유된 피지컬 채널의 채널 식별 정보(indirectness_id)와 전송 스트림 식별 정보를 추출하는 단계; 기 저장된 가상 채널 정보로부터 상기 추출된 채널 식별 정보(indirectness_id)와 전송 스트림 식별 정보 중 적어도 하나가 일치하는 가상 채널 정보를 상기 공유된 피지컬 채널 내 가상 채널 정보로 설정하는 단계; 및 상기 설정된 가상 채널 정보에 기초하여 방송 서비스 가이드 및 방송 서비스를 처리하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어진다.
