Description
Description
OVEN WHEREIN AIR IS DISCHARGED FROM THE DOOR HANDLE
[0001] The present invention relates to an oven wherein the discharge of hunnid air from the cooking chamber to the outside surrounding is made through the door handle.
[0002] In the state of the art, the handle used in opening and closing the oven door is also used in discharging the humid air produced inside the oven to the outside surrounding. The oven doors are generally produced from glass material in double glazing structure and there is an air gap between the front panel and the inner panel of the door. An exhaust apparatus, generally produced from heat resistant plastic material, is disposed in the oven door that extends from the inner panel to the front panel and to the handle from the front panel, opening from the handle to the outside surrounding, for discharging the humid air in the oven to the outside. Since the humid air inside the oven is discharged to the outside surrounding by means of the exhaust apparatus which is concealed by the end portions of the handle, both the esthetic appearance is improved and the moisture content discharged to the outside surrounding by condensing the humid air and that annoys the user is decreased. If the necessary air tightness cannot be provided in the connection points of the exhaust apparatus disposed between the front panel and the inner panel of the oven door, the vapor produced inside the oven leaks between the front panel and the inner panel of the door thereby it becomes harder for the user to see inside of the oven and insulation problem arises in the door.
[0003] In the state of the art German Patent No. DE 3246333, a vapor shaft is explained which is used in discharging the humid air in the cooking space to the outside surrounding and thus preventing condensation in the cooking space, that is connected to the cooking space by means of an opening situated on the inner panel of the oven door and which opens from the door strip to the outside by extending vertically upwards inside the door.
[0004] In the state of the art European Patent No. EP0752561 , the humid air
inside the oven is discharged to the outside surrounding through a
heat-resistant plastic tube that is disposed between the inner panel and outer panel of an oven door. By means of a fan disposed at the upper side of the oven and a deflector situated at the upper side of the plastic discharge tube, a suction effect is created in the area containing the deflector thereby providing flow of the humid air.
[0005] The aim of the present invention is the realization of an oven wherein the discharge of humid air from the cooking chamber to the outside
surrounding is made through the door handle and which comprises an exhaust apparatus that is secured to the door air tightly.
[0006] The oven realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, and explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a cooking chamber wherein the cooking process is performed, a door composed of an inner panel having an air passage opening thereon and an outer panel on the side of the user, a handle providing the user to open and close the door, two handle supports disposed on the right and left ends of the handle, providing the handle to be fastened to the door and an exhaust apparatus disposed between the inner panel and outer panel of the door, having an inlet port seated to the inner panel in the vicinity of the opening and an outlet port opening to the outside surrounding from the handle support
[0007] The exhaust apparatus comprises a wall in the air gap between the outer panel and the inner panel, forming a barrier opposite the opening and directing the humid air entering from the cooking chamber into the opening towards the outer panel, a cylindrical protrusion extending towards the opening on the inner panel and used in securing the exhaust apparatus to the inner panel, at least two lips surrounding the inlet port at least partially, contacting the inner panel by applying pressure in the vicinity of the opening and a channel extending in the middle of these two lips.
[0008] The oven of the present invention furthermore comprises a washer of circular configuration, seated on the edge of the opening on the side of the cooking chamber, having a screw hole situated in the middle and at least one air passage hole disposed around the screw hole, allowing the humid air in the cooking chamber to enter into the opening, providing the exhaust
apparatus to be fastened to the inner panel, in the vicinity of the opening by screwing to the hub of the protrusion.
[0009] In another embodiment of the present invention, the exhaust apparatus comprises triangular shaped inlet port and the V shaped sealing extension with the lower ends of its lips joining together curvedly.
[0010] In another embodiment of the present invention, the exhaust apparatus comprises an arc shaped lip extension, disposed at the joining ends of the V shaped lips on the inner portion of the sealing extension surrounding the inlet port and seated at the bottom side of the opening by extending from the sealing extension into the opening. The lip extension provides the protrusion and the opening to be concentric while the exhaust apparatus is secured to the inner panel.
[001 1] In another embodiment of the present invention, the channel between the two lips of the sealing extension at the exhaust apparatus is filled with silicon and thus a better air tightness is provided between the inlet port and the air gap between the outer panel and the inner panel.
[0012] In another embodiment of the present invention, the exhaust apparatus comprises a cylindrically shaped bush, produced from metal material, disposed at the hub of the protrusion, by being concentric with the protrusion, having a screw hole extending at its center along its axis and which increases the strength of the protrusion.
[0013] In the oven of the present invention, the exhaust apparatus realizes the optimum air discharge from the cooking chamber to the outside
surrounding and humid air leaking from the cooking chamber into the air gap between the inner panel and outer panel of the door is prevented by means of the sealing extension disposed around the inlet port wherefrom it is fastened to the inner panel.
