Abstract

Device (1) for making artificial snow by means of a snow cannon (6) in which water is atomised by compressed air, whereby compressed air is supplied by a compressor (9) in a compressor area (2) with an inlet (4) for supplying air and an outlet (5) to deliver the compressed air to the snow cannon (6), whereby compressed air is guided through the primary part of a heat exchanger- (12) whose secondary part forms part of the evaporator (16) in a closed cooling circuit (17) in which a coolant is circulated by a compressor element (18) that is driven by a drive (19), whereby a controller (24) is provided for obtaining a desired temperature or pressure dew point at the outlet (14) of the primary part.
