Abstract

The invention relates to a multi-purpose ocean platform and to the method for the production and installation in water thereof, intended for the installation of equipment used for the generation of power and the production of desalinated water and food from natural sea resources or for use as a foundation for any structure to be installed in water. The invention comprises: a foundation formed by one or more reinforced concrete slabs (1) with truss-columns (3); piles for sinking same into the sea bed, located inside the columns (3); a redundant sealing and buoyancy system (8); an immersion control system that can be used to submerge the foundation at a controlled speed, once the platform is in the final position thereof; a hydraulic system for hoisting the platform up to a height above the largest wave foreseen; and plants (5) for installing the equipment.
