Abstract

본 발명은 분산 저장 시스템에서 파일의 중복을 제거하는 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 분산 저장 시스템에서의 파일 중복 제거 장치 및 방법은, 액티브 파일(active file)에 대해 청크(chunk) 별로 해시값을 산출하고, 상기 청크 별로 산출된 해시값을 합하여 2차 해시값을 산출하며, 상기 청크 별 해시값 및 2차 해시값을 이용하여 파일의 중복성을 검사한 후, 상기 검사 결과 중복된 파일을 제거하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
