Abstract

The invention relates to a reusable smart textile complex for medicinal use, intended for keeping patients with general incontinence dry, said textile complex including: a top outer layer, consisting of a honeycomb-type fabric with a double thermoplastic fibre layer, in which the exposed layer is a soft-touch fabric and the inner layer is an open-weave fabric, the two surfaces being linked by a zigzagging monofilament that maintains the separation between the layers; a set of inner layers, including: a first layer of a thermoplastic fibre open-weave fabric; a second layer consisting of a set of at least three fabrics, each made of a low-density non-woven material (geotextile) comprising polypropylene fibres embedded in polyester thread, said fabrics being connected by a continuous filament thread; a third layer of at least one fabric made of a high-density non-woven material (geotextile) of artificial cellulose fibres; and a bottom outer layer comprising a jersey made of waterproofed continuous thermoplastic fibre. The invention also relates to a protective medicinal sheet that can be washed and reused, as well as to a reusable washable dressing for manufacturing underwear for incontinent outpatients including same.

Description

INTELLIGENT REUSABLE TEXTILE COMPLEX FOR MEDICINAL USE, WASHABLE PROTECTIVE MEDICINAL ZALEA AND REUSABLE WASHABLE APPOSITION CONFIRMED WITH SUCH COMPLEX

5 BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Field of the Invention

The present invention is related to sheepskins and dressings that provide protection not only to patients who must keep a bed, but also to those individuals who do not control urinary urination, especially) during their rest, thus keeping dry. Previous Art

Different types of sheepskins and dressings are known in the art whose purpose is the primary protection of bedding and of the beds themselves or of the clothing of the attack of urine.

Elderly individuals, for example 9.5% of those over 65, are generally unable to control urination, especially those who are also bedridden.

All this leads to the deterioration of the external epithelium due to the aggression of the urine or the excess perspiration that remains in contact with the individual's skin, causing irritations, wounds and bedsores, which lead to infections that must be treated and controlled. All these disorders appear when patients get wet because they are in contact with their own urination. On the other hand, the exposed sheets and mattresses must be washed and disinfected more frequently, thus becoming a progressive and accelerated deterioration thereof. All this means that the operational costs for correct patient care are high.

In order to safeguard the bedding and mattresses, for example, insulating plastic films of various types or, directly, several absorbent fabrics together are used. However, these films or fabrics do not solve the problem of the user or patient mentioned above, nor of the intense workforce involved in the care of such patients, but instead is harmful because they keep them in contact for long periods of time. with urination.

For this purpose, various types of solutions have been developed, one of which consists of adult diapers, which must be changed regularly since, according to their constitution, they have different types of control capacity and keep contact in a reduced area of the body with urination and, eventually, bowel movements.

Diapers in elderly people are usually combined with a protective sheepskin, so that the first one contains the patient's urination and the second protects the bedding from the overflows that may occur when the diaper is saturated. The aforementioned overflows increase the surface of the patient exposed to aggressions by contact with urine, which occurs from the moment they get wet.

Then, when the incontinent person is lying down or prostrate, regardless of the use of a diaper, it is common to use cloths or sheepskins of an important surface that are arranged between the individual and the bedding and mattress, whose purpose until the The moment is to take care of said bedding and not to protect the user or patient.

In general, these sheeps consist of a waterproof undercoat that keeps the bedding and mattress isolated from urination, an intermediate layer whose purpose is to absorb an appreciable amount of liquid to minimize the workforce needed in patient care and an upper layer that is in contact with the individual , which is unprotected because not being isolated is in contact with the inner moist layer that retains urination and, consequently, gets wet.

Various types of medicinal sheeps are known in the art. For example, US 4,097,943 refers to a sheave or dressing comprising a permeable top layer, an absorbent intermediate layer and a waterproof bottom layer consisting of two side adhesive tapes for fixing. This sheepskin does not allow the patient to be separated efficiently from his urination and the novelty lies in the ability to fix the sheepskin preventing him from moving from his position during the rest period. It is not aimed at protecting the patient and he gets wet.

US 4,781,710 refers to a sheave whose intermediate absorbent layer comprises a series of channels formed in the absorbent layer for liquid distribution, delimiting areas of different density for the storage of urination. Nor is it aimed at protecting the patient, as it gets wet.

In US Pat. No. 5,252,374 a sheath is described which comprises a central absorbent zone comprised between a liquid permeable layer and an impermeable layer. Said central area comprises a combination of pads: a transfer pad disposed on two layers of tissue with folds, where between these latter two barrier tapes of superabsorbent material are arranged such that the folds are oriented towards said tapes to facilitate drainage of the liquids that are absorbed. Here the protection of the patient is not contemplated, which remains wet once the sheepskin is filled with liquid. However, none of the sheeps or dressings described here were designed to be washed and reused, nor were they intended to prevent the patient from being exposed to their own urination for a long time until the sheepskin or dressing is changed protector in use by another.

On the other hand, within the medicinal sheeps that can be reused, we have the one described in US Patent 4,772,281 which refers to a protective sheepskin or absorbent dressing that can be reused and which comprises 5 layers from top to bottom Fabric: (1) a top layer of polyester or polyester fabric with acrylic; (2) a second absorbent layer of a fabric of an absorbent polyester / rayon combination; (3) a third layer of nonwoven polyester fabric; (4) a fourth layer of liquid impervious vinyl fabric; and (5) a fifth layer of a washable synthetic pad. Layers 3, 4 and 5 are glued together, as are generally 1 and 2. All layers are also joined together by the edges. The polyester layer that is in contact with the patient maintains moisture or becomes wet, nor does it comprise antimicrobial fiber. The layers that are glued peel off when intensive medical washes are performed.

For its part, US Patent 4,943,286 refers to a washable absorbent sheave or protective dressing that can be reused and comprises from top to bottom: (a) a first layer of non-spun fabric in the form of polyester needles / heat treated rayon; (b) a second layer of nonwoven polyester; (c) a third layer of a liquid impervious synthetic material, such as a urethane ether thermoplastic; and (d) a fourth layer of fleece-deformed synthetic fabric. Layers (b), (c) and (d) are glued together and the four layers are in turn joined by their edges. The glued layers peel off when the sheeps are washed intensively for medicinal use. Also here the top layer stays wet and the fiber does not It is antimicrobial, so the patient is unprotected and gets wet.

US 6,028,241 refers to a washable absorbent protective sheeting that can be reused and comprising: (a) a top portion of a porous fabric such as, for example, porous towel cloth or circularly interwoven fabric with a stabilized polyester fiber, defining a contact surface with the patient, which is attached to an inner stabilizing layer; and (b) the upper portion is adhered to a lower layer, which comprises an impermeable barrier of, for example, a vinyl type PVC, bonded to a woven polyester fabric. Both sections are sewn together by their edges. The ties of the interwoven towel or fabric are preferably oriented towards the lower section to increase air circulation through the sheepskin. The polyester upper layer tends to contain moisture and keeps the patient moist or wet and, therefore, exposed to infectious disorders, since the fibers used are not anti microbial either.

The reusable sheeps or dressings described seek to obtain a product that can be reused even though they have the disadvantage of not having a large storage capacity and dispersion of urination inside them, and do not isolate or protect the user from contact with the liquid accumulated in the inner layers, which remains moist and exposed to infections since the fibers are not antimicrobial. In this way, they also do not reduce the need for a workforce that is appreciable in the care of patients who are using them and also have low durability due to the need for periodic washing to which they must undergo.

For this reason, the patent application published on May 18, 2005 as AR 041388 A1, is directed to a washable medicinal protective dressing comprising: an outer upper layer of a fabric of openwork polypropylene fibers; a set of inner layers comprising: a first layer of a fabric of openwork polypropylene fibers; a second layer of a material not low density fiber fabric composed of approximately 50% modified polyester and approximately 50% cellulose; and a third layer of a non-woven material of high fiber density, composed of approximately 75% cellulose and approximately 25% acrylic; and an outer bottom layer composed of continuous fiber polyester pullover and a polyvinyl chloride racleado. The different layers are joined by seams along the edge and along the dressing. The polypropylene fiber fabric of the first layer comprises a woven polypropylene fiber forming grooves with ligaments in the form of an inverted gutter. Said polypropylene fiber is smooth and has an approximate title of 150/72. The polypropylene fiber fabric of the first inner layer of the dressing is made of polypropylene fiber yarn with square holes. Said polypropylene fiber is continuous, blown, approximately 1280/250. Preferably, the polypropylene fibers comprise a bactericidal compound associated with its structure. The washable dressing of the present is useful for keeping the user clean and dry for a prolonged period of time while keeping bed, significantly improving their quality of life, minimizing the workforce associated with caring for it.

However, it is still necessary to have a washable protective dressing that has a greater absorption and great internal dispersion of liquids, providing a better separation between the patient and his urination, with good aeration that provides better comfort. It is also of interest that the washing does not deteriorate the dressing and that it can be dried quickly for reuse in a short time.

Given the need to have sheeps that protect not only bedding and bedding, but also the patient from infections and epithelial lacerations, the present invention comes to solve the aforementioned problems that occur in known or described sheeps or apositos in the state of the technique giving patients a better quality of life.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

It is an object of the present invention, a reusable intelligent textile complex, for medicinal use, intended to keep patients with general incontinence dry, comprising:

an outer upper layer composed of a honeycomb-type double layer thermoplastic fiber fabric, where the exposed layer is a soft touch fabric and the inner layer is an openwork ligament fabric, both sides being joined by a zigzag monofilament that keep separate from each other;

a set of inner layers comprising:

a first layer of a thermoplastic fiber fabric of openwork ligament; a second layer formed by a set of at least three fabrics, each consisting of a low density non-woven (geotextile) material composed of polypropylene fibers encapsulated in polyester yarn, said fabrics being related to a continuous filament yarn; a third layer of at least one fabric composed of a nonwoven material

(geotextile) high density of artificial cellulose fibers; Y

an outer bottom layer composed of a waterproof thermoplastic continuous pullover.

Preferably, said outer top layer comprises a previously twisted continuous thermoplastic fiber yarn. The previously twisted continuous thermoplastic fiber is particularly selected from polyester, polypropylene, polyamide, and mixtures thereof.

The exposed layer and the inner layer of the outer upper layer are separated at a distance between approximately 2.0 mm and 0.5 mm, preferably between approximately 1.5 mm and approximately 0.8 mm, if It may well vary between approximately 1.2 and approximately 1.0 mm.

The openings of the inner layer of the fabric that make up the upper outer layer are independently square or rhomboid holes. Preferably, said fabrics of the second inner layer are related to a continuous fiber yarn. More preferably, the continuous fiber yarn is made of a material that is selected from cotton, polyester, polyamide, acrylic and mixtures thereof. Also preferably, the polypropylene fibers encapsulated in polyester yarn comprise an antimicrobial compound associated with its structure.

The third layer of the set of inner layers comprises at least one layer of a nonwoven or geotextile material comprising a high density of extruded artificial cellulosic fibers. Alternatively, the third layer of the set of inner layers comprises at least two layers of a nonwoven or geotextile material comprising a high density of extruded artificial cellulosic fibers.

Preferably, the cellulosite fibers comprise at least one antimicrobial and / or odor neutralizing compound that acts against the ammonia-releasing enzymes.

The outer bottom layer of the smart textile complex comprises a continuous waterproof thermoplastic fiber jersey fabric.

Preferably, the continuous thermoplastic fiber that makes up the jersey of the outer bottom layer is selected from polyester, polypropylene, polyamide, and mixtures thereof.

Said continuous thermoplastic fiber jersey fabric is waterproofed with an insulating substance. Preferably, the insulating substance is selected from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyvinyl acetate, latex, rubber, chlorinated rubber, silicone rubber, Teflon or polyacrylates. Preferably, the continuous thermoplastic fiber jersey fabric is waterproofed by scratching with polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

The lower layer of the smart textile complex is non-slip due to its rustic ligament of the scratch conformation.

Preferably, the anti microbial compound is selected from: biguanides, phenolic compounds and their derivatives, isothiazolones, metals, ammonium compounds, alcohols, chitin, and mixtures thereof. (Tokyo, Japan); or polypropylene fibers such as Meraklon SR-AB from Montedison SpA (Milan, Italy) and Vegon ABM from Faserwerk Bottrop GMBH (Germany).

It is another aspect of the present invention, a washable protective medicinal sheeting to be reused comprising the intelligent textile complex as described above.

The outer upper layer, the set of inner layers and the lower outer layer of the sheepskin are joined together by seams along the edge and by seams along it. Preferably, the seams along the sheave are parallel and equidistant in a single direction on the sheave surface.

Detailed description of the invention

The object of the present invention is a reusable smart textile complex (1) for medicinal use intended to keep patients with general incontinence dry, comprising:

an outer upper layer (2) composed of a double honeycomb net type thermoplastic fiber fabric, wherein the exposed layer (3) is a soft touch fabric and the inner layer (4) is an openwork ligament fabric, being both sides joined by a zigzagging monofilament (5) that keeps them separated from each other;
