Abstract

The invention is an advertisement carrier installation, where the board or the cylindrical column of which consists of an outside transparent cover, which may also be a door as well, and the equipment that makes the horizontal movement of the advertisement carrier possible consists of a spacer framework (2) and the stressing cylinders (1) connected to its ends, which are equipped with a driving mechanism (4) and the spacer framework (2) is also connected to the guiding surface (3).

Description

ADVERTISEMENT CARRIER INSTALLATION
TECHNICAL SCOPE
The subject of this invention relates to an advertisement carrier installation equipped with a mechanism to change pictures moving horizontally.
PREVIOUS ART
The growth in demand for advertising surfaces has made the employment of more demanding, modern solutions necessary that fit in with the cityscape. Countless advertisement carriers have become common from the simplest solutions, like billboards, simple advertising columns, up to advertising boards and columns with complex technical solutions.
The most well know advertisements, notices - regarded as classical - placed on advertising columns are made of paper, and so they are exposed to the weather and possible defacement. The changing of the placed advertisements takes place at appropriate intervals by sticking new ones over them.
Their big disadvantage is that the poster or advertisement placed on them can only be seen by daylight. The first attempt to eliminate this deficiency was by installing outside lamps mounted on the columns, but these lamps were often damaged and at the same time disproportionately increased the costs of the use of the advertising columns.
The solution that better suited the demands of the age was represented by advertising equipment illuminated from inside, which also represented a form of advertising columns. From Hungarian patent specification registered under number 38894 we can get acquainted with an illuminated and rotating device in which the illumination takes place from a light source placed inside the glass cylinder, and which is rotated by a motor. In this case, however, the whole shell structure of the column rotates on rollers driven by a cogwheel. The disadvantage of the column is that the posters and advertisements cannot be changed in them. The posters placed in the column remain the same until the column is dismantled. Also, because of the glass covering was it easy to damage, fragile and it could be stopped by external force, which damaged the moving and illumination structure.
In the 1990s so-called double-walled columns and boards appeared, which represented an aesthetic and secure solution with the creation of the double wall. These columns covered with transparent plastic were sometimes also equipped with internal illumination, which further increased the utilisation possibilities of the columns, the posters could be seen by day and night and only authorised persons could change the posters.
Later the columns were occasionally supplemented with running lights and decorative or functional parts, and were built integrated with telephone boxes. Such inventions can be found from the patents registered under numbers FR 8705987/A, US 4961294 and WO 93/24920. The common characteristic of the columns and boards presented previously is that the moving of the posters is realised in the vertical direction.
THE PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION
The aim with our invention was, with the further development of the advertising columns and boards presented, to realize a technical solution that retains and uses the advantageous characteristics of the equipment presented to date that raises the attention better and relatively increases the usable surface in such a way that the advertisement carrier installation is equipped with a picture changing mechanism system moving horizontally. Moreover its installation can be carried out quickly and the poster can be placed into it simply and cleanly. The goal set for our invention was to create an advertisement carrier installation that increases the specific surface of the previously installed static advertising columns by dynamic movement of the pictures in the horizontal direction, with which motion more advertisement carriers can be shown on the same surface as a consequence of the picture changing and the motion raises attention better.
The horizontal motion, because of the gravitational attraction of the material to be wound on, causes much more problems than the vertical solution known on the columns and boards until now. Namely, during the horizontal winding the material is able to wander downwards or even upwards on the winding cylinder, so the winding cylinder has to stress the advertisement carrier material being guided through the cylinders with the same power in the static and dynamic states. Our invention is based on the recognition that the advertising carrier surface can not only be changed vertically moved from above downwards in the given advertising carrier unit, column or board, but with horizontal motion as well. In other words, the advertisement carriers, the posters can also be changed involving better attention-raising due to the horizontal motion and picture changing, which also makes the reading of texts easier - favourably moving from left to right.
If the posters are moving horizontally, the content of them can be picked out easier, they give a film-like spectacle. What is more, whole stories will be able to be displayed by the moving of more posters one after the other. By means of the horizontal dynamic moving of the posters all of the posters placed on the advertisement carrier installation are visible due to the picture changing, and moreover there will be no "dead zones", not even watching from one point of view, as in the case of the traditional columns. All this can be achieved with low energy costs.
In the case of the simplest embodiment of our invention, when the advertising carrier is moved horizontally on his own along a plain surface, apart from providing permanent stress force, it continuous tensioning does not need any other technical conditions. A more complicated solution is needed if the advertisement carrier needs to be guided over a curved surface horizontally. In this case two more conditions have to be fulfilled. Firstly, translucence so that the illumination of the advertisement can be solved, and, secondly, the sticking of advertisement carrier has to be avoided.
We made our advertisement carrier installation to fit the already known B1 (70 cm * 200 cm) and the so-called "city poster" (119 cm * 175 cm) posters, so that two or more of them can be placed and wound up in one advertisement carrier installation unit.
So our present invention is an advertisement carrier installation which has equipment that makes the horizontal movement of the advertisement carrier possible consisting of a spacer framework and the cylinders connected to its ends, which are equipped with a driving mechanism and connected to the guiding surface of the spacer framework.
An embodiment of the installation according to our invention is advantageous where the drive cylinders are fastened to the framework with bearings and so that they may be removed. A guiding pin is connected to the upper horizontal plate of the framework through a bearing, which is fastened to the cylinder through the spacer ring. Between the spacer ring and the bearing a spring on the pin ensures that the cylinder leans against the conical friction disk placed on the vertical pin which is mounted with a bearing on the lower horizontal flat plate of the frame through the spacer ring that has a conical form at the bottom. The spacer rings are bolted to the cylinders in such a way that they may be removed. The conical friction disk is fixed on the pin placed in the bearing bolted to the frame with a rivet. The vertical position of the pin in the bearing is ensured by a motor with a driving mechanism recessed underneath, the driven shaft of which is fixed with grub screws to the pin. The motor with the driving mechanism is fixed to the framework by vertically placed screws that may be removed through flexible plugs. The advertisement carrier poster is wound up on any one of the cylinders and its other free end is guided along the guiding surface mounted on the frame and fixed to the other cylinder in a releasable way. The method of fixing can be a clip, glue or magnetic strip. The guiding surface is covered with a layer that prevents the sticking of the advertisement carrier poster. This layer must be made of antistatic materials, which may be textiles or other light and air-permeable coating. The framework is also equipped with a positioning unit, which senses the position of a mark put on the advertisement carrier poster - colour or magnetic stripe - and so can switch the motion. Furthermore, an advantageous embodiment of our invention is when the form shape of the framework is curved, semicircular, cylindrical, or whole column shaped. In case of a whole column 30-90% of the whole surface can be covered by the framework. A further advantageous embodiment of our invention is when a running light advertisement structure is connected to the framework, and when the base is mounted together with something functional, which may be a bench or something else to sit on or flower-pot. These supplementary elements further improve the usability of the equipment according to the invention.

METHODS OF REALISATION OF THE INVENTION
Figures 1 , 2, 3 and 4 show the curved construction form of the advertisement carrier installation where the cylinders 1 are fixed to the spacer framework 2 with bearings in a releasable way. The guiding pin 5 is fixed to the upper horizontal plate of the spacer framework 2 through a bearing 6, which is fixed to the cylinder 1 through the spacer ring 14. Between the spacer ring 14 and the bearing 6 a spring 7 on the pin ensures that the cylinder 1 leans against the conical friction disk 13 placed on the vertical pin 9 which is mounted with a bearing 10 on the lower horizontal flat plate of the spacer framework 2 through the spacer ring 15 that has a conical form at the bottom. The spacer rings 15, 14 are bolted to the cylinders 1 in such a way that they may be removed. The conical friction disk 13 is fixed on the pin 9 placed in the bearing 10 bolted to the spacer framework 2 with a rivet 1 1 . The vertical position of the pin 9 in the bearing 10 is ensured by a motor 4 with a driving mechanism recessed underneath, the driven shaft of which is fixed with grub screws 12 to the pin 9. The motor 4 with the driving mechanism is fixed to the spacer framework 2 by vertically placed screws 17 that may be removed through flexible plugs 16. The advertisement carrier poster 20 is wound up on any one of the cylinders 1 and its other free end is guided along the guiding surface 3 mounted on the spacer framework 2 and fixed to the other cylinder in a releasable way. The guiding surface 3 is made of transparent rigid material with an adhesion retardant light permeable material 18 above and below which is screwed to the spacer framework 2 on which the advertisement carrier 20 can slide. The spacer framework 2 is equipped with a positioning unit 19 at the bottom, which is fixed to it in a releasable way.
The advertisement carrier installation can be flat, non-curved where the advertisement carrier poster 20 is stressed between the guiding cylinders, so the guiding surface 3 and the adhesion retardant 18 are not built in. The advertisement carrier installation as a structure is freestanding. If the equipment only work from the public lighting system at night, the battery charged at night will ensure the power for the installation during the day.
A further advantage of the installation is the possibility to fit running light, bench, flower pot or other structure to or on it according to the demands of the environment.
Our invention, of course, is not limited to the solutions presented as examples, but it may be realised in any way according to the definitions of the claims.
On the basis of said that presented it can be seen that the advertising installation according to the invention is very suitable for the adequate and modern solution of the task outline as the objective, employing more advertising methods and the rotation of the cylinder inside it. Claims

1. Advertisement carrier installation the board or cylindrical column part of which consists of an outside transparent cover, which may be also a door c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t the equipment ensuring the horizontal movement of the advertisement carrier consist of a spacer framework (2) and stressing cylinders (1) connected to its ends, which is equipped with a driving mechanism (4) and the spacer framework (2) is connected to the guiding surface (3) as well.
2. The installation according to claim l c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t the spacer framework (2) can be flat, curved or circle section shaped.
3. The installation according to claims 1-2 c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t the inside of the outer protective surface is covered by anti-adhesive material (18).
4. The installation according to any of claims 1-3 c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t the speed range is controlled between 1-20 cm/sec.
5. The installation according to any of claims 1-3 c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t the driving mechanism (4) and, in a given case, the running light mounted at the top of the advertisement carrier installation (20) and the illumination body (22) inside it is connected to a UPS power supply.
6. The installation according to any of claims 1-5 c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t the advertisement carrier installation (20) is equipped with some resting or sitting furniture, flower-pots and decoration or functional fittings.
