Abstract

The present invention relates to a text-arranging method and to a text-inputting method enabling the input of Korean characters and the English alphabet using 9 buttons arranged in 3 rows and 3 columns, to facilitate the input of text in electronic and communications devices. For inputting Korean characters, the symbols ―, ∩, ㄱ, ⊂, ○, ⊃, ㄴ, ∪, and □ are arranged on 9 buttons, respectively, through which the 19 Korean consonants (ㄱ, ㄴ, ㄷ, ㄹ, ㅁ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㅇ, ㅈ, ㅊ, ㅋ, ㅌ, ㅍ, ㅎ, ㄲ, ㄸ, ㅃ, ㅆ, ㅉ) can be inputted, and using drag-enabled touch-inputting buttons, the 21 Korean vowels (ㅏ, ㅑ, ㅓ, ㅕ, ㅗ, ㅛ, ㅜ, ㅠ, ㅡ, ㅣ, ㅐ, ㅒ, ㅔ, ㅖ, ㅚ, ㅘ, ㅙ, ㅟ, ㅝ, ㅞ, ㅢ) can be inputted. Also, for inputting the English alphabet, the symbols 'Γ', '∩', 'ㄱ', '⊂', '○', '⊃', 'ㄴ', '∪', and '×' are arranged on 9 buttons, respectively, through which the 26 letters of the English alphabet can be inputted.
