Abstract

Disclosed is a method for inducing human embryonic stem cells to differentiate into mesenchymal stem cells, using an optimal medium. Human embryonic stem cells are induced differentiate into mesodermal progenitors by activating TGF-β (Transforming growth factor-β), WNT and BMP (Bone morphogenic protein) signaling pathways and further into mesenchymal stem cells by treating with bFGF. The method is effective for producing mesenchymal stem cells, useful cell-based therapies, on a large scale.
