Abstract
Beverage can opener (1) is placed on top of the can in a way to entirely cover the opening part (3) of the beverage can (4) and fixed to an axis (2) in the middle of the part to be opened (3). The opener (1), while it is pulled upwards after being twisted parallel to the top of the beverage can (1), allows the beverage can to be opened hygienically by lifting along with the axis (2) and the part to be opened (3).
Description
DESCRIPTION
OPENING DEVICE FOR A BEVERAGE CAN This invention is related with ensuring hygienic pouring of beverage from its can by means of the proposed opener (1) to be placed on top of the light alcohol and soft drink cans (4).
Classical can openers work by applying pressure on a part on top of the beverage can, and as a result of the operating mechanism a piece of metal comes in to contact with the beverage itself as the can is opened. Consumers are obliged to drink unhygienic beverages due to the piece of metal embedded into the can which was exposed to environmental dirt.
With the opener proposed in this description, it is aimed to protect exposure of the opening part of the can against environmental factors until it reaches to consumers and enable consumers to drink the beverage without touching the dirty part by erecting the metal piece away from the can instead of embedding it into the can.
The opener devised for this aim was shaped in attached manners. Of these images;
Figure 1— Top view of the beverage can along with the opener.
Figure 2 - Top view of the opener after revolving it around the axis.
Figure 3 - Top view of the metal can when open.
Parts in the figures are enumerated with corresponding references.
1. Opener
2. Axis
3. The part to be opened
4. Top of the beverage can
Beverage can opener (1) is placed onto the can in such a way that it entirely covers the opening part (3) and it is fixed to an axis point (2) in the middle of the part to be opened (3). The opener (1), while pulled upwards after it is being twisted across such that it is parallel to the top of the metal can (4), with the help of the fixation (2) the part to be opened is pulled upwards and as a result the beverage can is opened hygienically.
Claims
1. This invention is an opener for beverage cans; it consists of an opener (1) large enough to entirely cover the part to be opened (3) on the beverage can (4), an axis (2) which will allow lateral movement of the opener (1) but will attach the opener (1) and the part be opened (3) together when pulled upwards and cause the two to lift together.
