Description

Connector assembly method
The present invention includes a columnar inner part integrally formed of resin so as to cover a terminal and a cord electrically connected to the terminal, and a cylindrical case inserted so as to cover the outer peripheral surface of the inner part. And a connector assembling method.
For example, a USB connector connected to a personal computer consists of two parts, an inner part and a case.
Among these, the inner part is a columnar part integrally formed of resin so as to cover the terminal connected to the USB terminal on the personal computer side and the cord electrically connected to the terminal.
The case is a cylindrical part that covers the outer peripheral surface of the inner part.
Then, by applying an adhesive to the outer peripheral surface of the inner part and inserting the case into the inner part, the outer peripheral surface of the inner part and the inner peripheral surface of the case are bonded with an adhesive, and both are assembled.
Also, there is an optical fiber connector as a connector having a similar configuration having an inner part and a case (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

However, when the case is inserted into the inner part, there is a problem that the adhesive adheres to the front end surface in the case insertion direction and the appearance is deteriorated.
Furthermore, since the amount of adhesive adhering to the end surface of the case is not constant, the amount of adhesive for adhering the outer peripheral surface of the inner part and the inner peripheral surface of the case changes, and sufficient adhesive strength is obtained. There are no problems.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and its object is to provide a method for assembling a connector that has good appearance and does not reduce the adhesive strength between the inner part and the case.
