  • Keep-alive method Active keep-alive: Send AAR request message to PCRF every 60 seconds when there is no service signaling
  • Measurement method passive measurement: no signal is received for the Rx session within 3 minutes.

  • the keep-alive policy KA_VOIP_BEARER_GX_PCRF is used by the PCRF to keep and measure the VOIP bearer of the IPC AN session:
  • Keep-alive method passive keep-alive: CCA message is sent in response to PCEF's CCR request.
  • Measurement method passive measurement: It is considered to be deactivated when PCCE does not receive a CCR request for VoIP bearer of the IPC AN session within 1 minute.

That is, after the relevant network element judges that the keep-alive body is not itself, the keep-alive policy is transmitted to the keep-alive host UE, and thus, the PCRF formulates a keep-alive policy for the UE, and transmits it to the UE through the PCEF, thereby ensuring Consistency of the keepalive strategy between NEs.
