Abstract

The present invention relates to an auxiliary touch monitor system which enables independent touch input, and to an independent touch input method for an auxiliary touch monitor. The auxiliary touch monitor system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an auxiliary touch monitor; an auxiliary touch controller which controls a touch screen of the auxiliary touch monitor, and which has firmware for processing a touch input signal using a protocol different from the protocol of a main input means; an auxiliary touch driver which receives data created in the firmware; and an independent control application which provides a software module menu capable of taking an input through a touch operation, and which independently drives and controls a software module without affecting an active window of a main monitor using the processed data. Consequently, the present invention enables users to control various media files or to smoothly search for information such as weather or news through the auxiliary monitor while using an application program being executed on the main monitor.
