Abstract
The invention relates to a device (10) that is mechanically especially robust and also satisfies maximum security requirements, in particular to a receiving device of a system for magnetic train control, for detecting an information signal transmitted by means of a magnetic DC-field. According to the invention, the device (10) comprises at least one magnetic filed sensor (80, 90) for detecting the information signal and is designed to generate a magnetic test field and to independently check the functionality of the at least one magnetic field sensor (80, 90) on the basis of the generated magnetic test field.
