Abstract

The invention relates to a bioreactor for culturing cells, including: a culture chamber comprising a top wall and a bottom wall having a series of microstructures including microwalls (113) and microcontacts (114), the series of microstructures defining microchambers (110) and microchannels (112) on the bottom wall of the culture chamber; a fluid intake connected to at least one portion of the microchannels (112); and a fluid outlet connected to at least one portion of the microchannels (112), the microchannels forming a network connecting the fluid intake to each microchamber (110) and each microchamber (110) to the fluid outlet, enabling the fluid to flow into the microchambers (110), the microchambers (110) each having length and width dimensions relative to a flow direction of the fluid of 500 µm to 550 µm.
