Abstract

The invention relates to cost-effective concentrator photovoltaic modules (CPV technology) for solar power generation and for radiation detection, comprising arbitrarily designed solar cells (1) or further optoelectronic detectors and light-transporting layers (2), which conduct the radiation to the solar cells or optoelectronic detectors and are mounted alternately in a checkerboard-like manner or in another arrangement on an optically highly transparent solar glass or polymer substrate (3), the light-transporting layers containing materials (6) which by way of fluorescence convert short-wave into longer-wave radiation (down-conversion) and/or longer-wave into short-wave radiation (up-conversion) and/or diffusely reflect the radiation and act as Lambert radiators.
