Abstract

L'invention porte sur un élément de coupe destiné à être utilisé dans un trépan pour le forage de formations souterraines, lequel élément de coupe comprend un substrat comportant un corps comprenant une surface supérieure s'étendant transversalement à un axe longitudinal du corps, une couche superabrasive superposée sur la surface supérieure du substrat, la couche superabrasive comprenant une forme annulaire comportant une ouverture centrale définie par une surface interne. L'élément de coupe comprend en outre un insert abrasif superposé sur la surface supérieure du substrat et disposé à l'intérieur de l'ouverture centrale de la couche superabrasive, l'insert abrasif comportant une surface supérieure ayant une rugosité de surface (Ra) supérieure à environ 1 micron.
