Abstract
The invention relates to a method for producing oxide-based metal-organic framework compounds, known as OMOF's, of general formula M4OBx (M = bivalent metal, x ≤ 3). OMOF-compounds are built in a uniform grid which has a defined porous size distribution. The high specific pore volume and the thus associated large equivalent surface make said compounds excellent quality materials for, amongst other things, gas accumulators, chemical-technical catalysis or as separation material e.g. in gas or liquid chromatography. The claimed compounds are produced in such a manner that M4OA6 type compounds, wherein M represents a bivalent metal cation and A represents any remaining anion, are reacted, in the presence of a solvent, with exchange compounds from which an anion B having at least 2 functional groups and at least 4 donor atoms, is produced in order to form M4OB x type compounds wherein x ≤ 3.
