Abstract

The present invention relates to a security system and method, which can accurately process the operation of special keys even when keyboard input data are inputted at a high speed. The security system for keyboard input data according to the present invention comprises: a character/numeral key input extraction unit which extracts key-down and key-up information of character/numeral keys from a scan code input to a keyboard port; a special control key input extraction unit which extracts key-down and key-up information of special control keys from the scan code; and input data recognition means for combining the key-down or key-up information of the character/numeral keys and key-down and key-up information of the special control keys to recognize characters, numerals, or special characters.
