Abstract
According to one aspect, the invention provides a fluid container with fluid level indicator comprising a light source comprising a light emitting portion and a light transceiving display element. The indicator further comprises a light guide defining a light path to the transceiving display element. The light guide comprises a light receiving portion for receiving light from the light emitting portion. The emitting and receiving portion are distanced by a gap. One of the receiving and emitting portions is positioned at or above the fluid level to be indicated, and the other one is positioned at the fluid level to be indicated, such that when in use the fluid is at the fluid level to be indicated, the fluid fills the gap and prevents light reaching the receiving portion. In one aspect, the invention provides a fluid level indicator without restricting the positioning angle with respect to the fluid surface.
